I got a 1099 from eBay this year and I have expenses from 2001 and 2003 that would be tax deductible. Is there a way to get these older statements? Thanks

You can't go back that far, unless you kept your own records.
How would financial summaries from more than two decades ago figure into your 2024 taxes?

Uhh... you obviously can't deduct tax-year-2001 expenses because you got a tax form from last year (that was 2024).
You got that 1099 from last year... because it was for last year. There may be an extreme way to pinch this by hiring a Federal level CPA, I'm not sure. Get in good with Elon?
I also kinda wish I could claim expenses from only last year because I lost a couple of my small receipts. Really, 23 years later???

I should check what I write before I hit enter. 😐 2021 and 2023.

You cannot deduct expenses from a previous year on this year’s tax return. You can only deduct expenses in the year that you paid for them.
Each tax return reports finances for its own year and each of those years needs to be kept separate. Deductions, income or anything else from a previous year cannot be claimed with the current year’s tax information.
