Well I tried to figure this out but got nowhere. I want to create a new store category for a specific DVD genre and want to allow buyers to get a quantity discount when buying products in that specific store category only. But I just don't find a path. There is a path for same priced items whereas I have variable pricing on the items that would go into that store category. I just want to set up say a 10% discount for buying two items, 15% for three items, etc. Is the old guy yet again missing something?

@m60driver Since you have a store, this should work for you:
1) Go ahead and create your store category for items you want to include.
2) Then go to Promotions Manager https://www.ebay.com/sh/mkt/promotionmanager/dashboard
3) Under Create a promotion, choose Volume Pricing
4) Continue to fill out the promotion and be sure to select Add Inventory (as it will let you create a rule pointing to the desired store category).

@m60driverI create store categories as well. You have the option, when creating the listing, to select the Volume Pricing all the way at the bottom of your listing. You can choose the % off based on the number they purchase. At the top, under the title, you can choose your store category.
If you do create a separate store category for these DVD's, you can also create a Markdown or Sale and select only that category. They do ask if you want to use ebay categories, or your store categories, which I missed the first time around.
You can also do a bulk edit or create a template to use. I think the template is easiest for what you want to do. Just make sure the details and parameters you use in the template match every item you use to create a listing. Good Luck!

Big thanks. I was only able to figure out how to apply volume discounts to items listed in DVDs. But that is no big deal.
