Can I block a buyer's messages after they bought from me?

A buyer received their shirt from me and complained that the red wasn't as deep red as it's "supposed" to be. And mentioned there's a few threads hanging from the ends of the seams. They didn't ask for anything, just complained (which usually raises a flag with me).

So I apologized and told them to please file a return request for a refund to get their money back. The buyer says they don't want to go thru the trouble of returning it. They continue to add more complaints (width of shirt, thickness of shirt). I just stopped replying since I considered the matter closed.

But they still continue to send me FYI messages with even more complaints... (bad packing material, doesn't like how I folded the shirt, etc). Any way to block those messages?

I know, I'm with you.  That's exactly what they were doing, who complains about how an item is folded (especially a T-Shirt).

He seemed really bothered by it, just a suggestion if he really wanted the problem to disappear.

It also doesn't guarantee they won't leave neg FB anyway.

I know I'd be looking at the feedback that buyer leaves for others.  The one I had trouble with had only left feedback for a scant few sellers she'd bought from... out of dozens and dozens.

It may be a non-issue if they're not a feedbacker.  I'd just start giving the stock answer of: Please initiate a return if you are dissatisfied with the item.  That puts the ball firmly back in their court and I wouldn't change that message for any response for all the tea in China after that. That would be all they get from me until they either went away, or initiated a return.

I knew I had to ask him about the mysteries of life
He spit between his boots and he replied
"It's faster horses, younger women,
Older whiskey, and more money"

If they can't return it for a refund I am unable and unwilling to help them. They also imediately go on my Blocked Buyes List. There is a prescribed timeframe they can still contact me through this sale. I THINK it is 60-90 days. By that time their ability to remain a thorn has passed as has their chance of leaving a neg rep for the sale and opening a case for return.  If they have earned themself a place on my BBL they usually get the Reported Bad Buyer Award as well for demanding addition product/services /partial refund after the sale.

I don't buy good feedback. PERIOD.

If you have trouble finding the BBL in the accounts tab under communication with buyers let us know. I'm sure someone will have the link to it handy for a quick response.

Reiterating most of the above advice - but I'd reply to each and every message with "I'm sorry you are unhappy with your purchase.  Please return for a full refund."  They'll get tired of that response pretty quickly and stop sending complaints.

My "favorite" scammer finally "shouted" WHY DO YOU KEEP REPEATING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER? when I kept responding with the words above. Made me LOL!

I do that to a point- it depends on the buyer. The mantra 'silence is golden' has also served me well in this type of situation.

Every situation is different, you have to play it by ear.  You need to think about what might get you the result you are looking for, and you need to leave your annoyance/frustration/anger out of it - which can be very hard to do.

I usually reserve my silence for the question "Why am I blocked from buying from you?".  I can't think of an answer that wouldn't make them angrier that they already are.

These type of people try to bait you into cussing so they can report you if you don't fall for their scam it's their last ditch effort to punish you because how dare you not give in to their scam attempt.
