I operate 2 ebay stores.
Both stores:
1. Sell the identical items
2. At the same prices
3. Using the same listing software
4. Using the same camera equipment
Store 1 has 13000+ listing with great feedback
Store 2 has 3500+ listings with same feedback but out sells store 1.

I use to dump IDs when feedback got to high back in them early days.....
Such as a high number feedback can be more problematic to deal with than a lower count.... Just saying..

Why would you be selling identical items on two ebay stores?

If one store has 13,000 listings
and one store has 3,500 listings
They can't be identical items.
Please explain.

You may want to peruse the duplicate listings policy now that you admitted to it on an eBay forum.

I assume when you say you have "identical listings" you mean you have multiples of the items, not that you are advertising one item on two accounts?
It may just be that the smaller ID comes up in Search more often.
For example, when I get a sale to the NorthWest USA, I tend to get a few more sales from the same general area.
I think that means that my Store is a little stronger in rotation there for a short time after a sale shows interest in that part of the planet.
This is the opposite of the infamous "throttling" that brings out the tinfoil hats.
In over 20 years I have made two sales to Lichtenstein. Within a week of each other. Never before and never since.

You are correct. I have multiple pieces and nothing is duplicated. Thank you for using common sense as to what I meant.

One store has more feedback that the other.
As for what that feedback is we can not see such to see differences..
Folks tend to shy away from large feedback sellers.
Folks tend to find stuff in user listings with less listed items as as well..
A lot of reason can be going on: and no way we users can say why, with out knowing more than we do....

As a top rated seller one of the perks we are suppose to get is being bumped toward the front of categories. This not a one time event either. Its pretty consistent.

It's simple, just add more items to the one with 13000 listings. That's usually what they tell you on here. Just add more.

That's an easy one.
You are allowed to have multiple accounts and stores but you are not allowed
to list duplicate items in two different store unless you follow this policy.
You are shooting your self in the foot with eBay's search engine by trying to
compete with yourself for sales. eBay knows you are the same seller for
both stores and will treat duplicate listings as such in search results.

Both stores sell the same things. Rings, pendants, necklaces etc NOT THE SAME PIECES AS IN DUPLICATES. (Didnt think i needed to explain something most people would understand) Ever since 2016 we tracked our sales. It showed us consistent bumps in sales as more items were listed. That bump in sales slowed down drastically when we hit 15000 listings. Example: 5000 items sold 6 items a day consistently, 7500 listings sold 9 items on average per day, 10000 listings sold 13 items per day consistently. 15000 items should have sold 18 items a day but there was never any noticeable increase. The data was compiled from the start and our projections were always accurate up until we passed 12000 listings. So I started a second ebay store. Data was showing the same results up until ebay started combining categories. Then things went south and have been horrible since. I used to promote people to sell on ebay and am responsible for 7 other people becoming sellers on ebay. I was actually keeping notes with the new store as guidelines to building a profitable ebay business solely by buying off ebay and reselling on ebay. Things were consistent until the changes were made. I no longer promote or encourage people to sell on ebay because it is no longer worth it. The return on investment is not worth the the time needed to start an online business. The results have ZERO consistency to them any more.

Understood what you meant after looking at your items for sale.
It is likely a psycholigical thing. One store appears big and one appears smaller. Perhaps a buyer perceives a smaller store to be more customer centric, approachable, etc.
We too have 2 selling IDs. Often the smaller store out sells the original selling ID. Both sell similar items.
