If I'm running a store sale of 20% off and I send a repeat customer a coupon for 30% off, will the repeat customer be able to use the coupon and the store discount together? For instance; My store is on sale for 20% off. I've sent my repeat buyers a 30% off coupon. Will they be able to "stack" the discounts and get a $100 item for $54 (20%+30% off)or $50 (50% off) or will they only get the 30% off?
Thanks in advance!

Are you using Markdown Manager for the "sale"? In that case, the answer is "YES, they are stackable."
"Coded coupons are not stackable with other promotions such as Order Discount and Volume Pricing. If several promotions are running concurrently on an item, buyers get the best discount. However, the coupons do stack with markdowns. If an item has a Best Offer or Seller Initiated Offer, the offer takes priority, and the coupon cannot be applied."

If you want to do a sale and send a private coupon that does NOT stack, run a public coded coupon sale instead of Markdown Manager, and send a private coded coupon. Your buyer can then choose to use either coupon, but not both.
If you really want to give your buyer an incentive, create a markdown manager sale and send a private coupon, noting that the items are on sale and the buyer CAN apply the coupon to the sale---make it sound like an exclusive deal for a select set of buyers. However, obviously you need to create discounts that still leave you with acceptable margins.

already answered this on the other thread you asked question
"No... coupons cannot be combined with any other offer, it's in the fine print, click the "see details" on the coupon it tells you. Also, if you sent coupons already within past month or so, you cannot send another."

@my-cottage-books-and-antiques that's new(er) - never could before, that page is entirely new - if you read the terms of coupon when you create one it says right in the terms "cannot be combined with any other discount" - so maybe they need to change the terms on the coupon then.

@nuclearomen Nope. Always been that way. I remember asking about it when coded coupons first came out.

I also have customers reach out for a lower price so i sent them an offer..... then i was surprised to see that another 10% was taken off the offer at checkout! I had sent out a coupon months before and the buyer was able to apply it to the "send an offer" price........
I think the short answer is that there is no consistency of policy at ebay. its anyone's guess.
I do believe that if you have volume discounts- that will also apply to the offer price so you must be on your toes........

maybe for you, not here, i have had buyers who tried it and no, both were not applied, and I wouldn't allow it anyways if it did. The issue with discounts of any kind is still the matter of if item was purchased through promotional listing, which ads the PL fee on top of the discount, before you know it someone has 40%-50%-60%? off...+ all the fees - uhm, no, not running a charity. Of course this all me, don't much care what other sellers do, but what's the point if your in the negative after all?

Of course, Everyone loves to use discount and coupon codes. eBay's coupon and discount policies are subject to change and may change over time. However, I can provide general information about eBay's discount and coupon stacking policies as of that date:
eBay Coupons: eBay occasionally issues coupons or promotional codes that buyers can use to receive discounts on eligible items during checkout. These coupons typically have terms and conditions that specify the discount amount, minimum purchase requirement, and eligible categories or sellers.
Store Sales: Some eBay sellers have their own stores on the eBay marketplace. These vendors may offer store-wide sales, discounts on specific items, or other promotions. The terms and conditions of these sales are determined by the individual seller.
Cumulative Coupons and Sales: In most cases, eBay allows buyers to purchase an eBay coupon or promotional code. Generally, you can't stack multiple eBay coupons to get additional discounts on the same order. The system normally accepts only one coupon code per transaction.

Stacking with in-store sales: Whether you can combine an eBay coupon with an in-store deal or discount depends on the specific terms set by the seller. Some sellers may allow buyers to use eBay coupons in addition to their own store promotions, while others may not. It is essential to review suppliers' terms and policies to understand if storage is allowed for a particular item or supplier.
Terms and Conditions: Always review the terms and conditions of any eBay coupon or in-store sale to ensure you meet eligibility and accrual requirements. These terms are subject to change, so it is essential to read them carefully before making a purchase.
