Ok, I just had a sale where I received 134.54, that person turned around a d cancelled a few minutes later saying he purchased by mistake. FIRST, how do you purchase 3 items by mistake and continue to Paypal and pay for the items by mistake. But the biggest question is, it shows I received 134.54 but when I clicked to return it it deducted 139.25 from my account. I had not noticed it doing this before, not saying it hasn't, just that if it has I have not caught t before. So are we. Ow being charged for all of these "mistake" purchases?

Alas, yes. A few months ago PayPal decided to no longer refund the processing fees that they charge sellers, when the sellers give a full or partial refund to their buyers.

Yes, PayPal's policy is to keep fees on refunded/ canceled items.

I got hit with one of these too and got caught by PayPal...for an international item (bigger fee). 😑 Hate this new change. It isn't our fault...charge the 'buyer'!

It's generally one of your competitors who do this under a different account. It takes your item off for a while and they know you are getting charged for it, trying to get you to raise your price to recoup what you lost or just hoping you will not relist. I had this happen when I listed a bunch of books cheap all of a sudden had 3 sales from different accounts buy then cancel. Just make sure you block the person.

So, I have been losing money on all of these cancellations? Is there a way to take the fees from the refund? Why should I have to pay? We know the real reason for the cancellation is because after they made the purchase Ebay says "look, it was cheaper over here!" I cannot belive someone made that many mistakes. It is not like it is a instant purchase with one click! They had to click to purchase the item and then go over to PayPal and sign in, then pay for the item! I should not have to pay for someone changing their mind!
