Why not just run GTC listings?

You still pay for the listings renewed after every 30 days. I don't wish to run the same items every month until they sell. Like to try new & remove the stale ones. Enjoy your evening.

Well that sounds like a very smart business plan indeed. Sorry it's not working out for you as you'd hoped and you are frustrated.
Wish you the best of luck moving forward.

Why not just run GTC listings?
Many sellers have abandoned GTC listings as the longer they go unsold, the lower they sink in visibility. Not saying GTC listings never work; if you have quantity listing that sells regularly, with a history built up, that might work, but not every item is suitable for a GTC listing, and as I said, many sellers have abandoned the GTC listing format due to the sinking visibility the longer it is active.

Actually this is a better plan. New items generate interest and sales, and you gain favorable visibility if you are listing new items daily.

Hoping things pick up for you, OP, and that some free listing offers come your way.

24 days into the month of May, after fees, I'm averaging less than $11.00 US per day. Incredible! This site is a hasbeen. lol

We hear you.
Had several promos with free listings this year.
We Really were putting a lot of work into getting new items up.
Used up 50 free beginning of the month. Last promo was over a week ago, so nothing new up since then.
We feel like we have steady sales with at least 120 items up.
But sales are low. Three items the last week. All low dollar items.
Really, not worth looking at my ebay page every day.
Seem to be getting lots of views, but not sales. Usually lots of views means an item will sell.
Your idea of cycling things in and out to appear fresh is a good one. We routinely sell things that have been up off and on for 1-3 years.
Dont know what's going on, but it's not good for us.
We were trying to keep going until we sold a lot more things. Almost all we have now is vintage. Not buying more.
Summer is always slow so not looking for sales to pick up now.
If we can't get a few more sales a week, it's just not worth the time.
Best of luck to you.

eBay is not a guarantee of sales. The issues of offering products that are in demand at a price people are willing to pay ... are the same regardless of marketplace.
In the past year, I have moved something like $3000 of inventory that I would not move on classified ads or Craigslist. I also have another $2000 of inventory that has sat here. Because what people demand (and are willing to pay shipping for) is not always predictable. I have also moved some other inventory on Craigslist b/c it was big enough that ONLY a local buyer would be interested.
We do have access to a HUGE volume of buyers here at eBay. Unless / until a different marketplace better fits my inventory, I'll work w/ eBay. But depending on what you're selling, somewhere else may do better for you. Books and hand-crafted items have marketplaces that cater more directly to those types of goods.

Many sellers would be thrilled to get 3 sales for $150 a month. So I took a look at what the OP was selling. I think that any poster thinking about responding should take a look too. The OP's sold page looks a little different than what they are reporting.

My saled fell to zero! Same items I have been selling for months. Sold over seventy five December, January Febuary and March. By mid April it all came to a halt. It's so bad that I went away for four days and didn't even end my listings because I knew nothing would sell. Then I get this from EBay.
Pretty much says it all. Unless I knuckle under and offer free returns to get top rated plus my listings aren't being seen!

It seems as if OP is saying there is no guarantee of sales.
He is probably also aware of shipping charges & how it effects sales.
It appears when a seller comes here looking for..... Help..., often they get suggestions as to how to sell things other places, how to continue to sell on eBay, or how to sell at all.
Ebay keeps their info for themselves. Therefore, this seller has no idea if other items like his or sellers like himself are doing ok. That's the info he is looking for. Is it the number of sales that cause sales to fall further? Is it his location? How are others doing? Is it ebay? Is it because he does/ doesn't have a store? Did he post something on a community board or elsewhere to cause some sort of retaliation?
Or, is it, as we believe, that the combination of factors, including changes in society and the perceived value of goods, along with ebay changes, have made the secondary market and selling on eBay very shaky?
As it is, many of us will continue selling here, as it is the venue with the best opportunity at this time. We will do so until it truly is not worth the effort. Personally, we have a lot of items we believe to be in demand that will sell. Things move very slowly, so that remains to be seen.
But, until that time, sellers having trouble will continue coming to the boards for help to figure out why some things are happening.
This is one of our only sources of info.

I know it gets frustrating because I've been there . A few months ago my sales were down 90 % from one year prior . I was real close to giving up this whole thing,, but I didn't . Instead I took some advice I was given in this forum . I had some sales , reduced prices a little , added a bigger variety of what I sell and revamped some of my titles and then waited it out . Now my sales are up 137 % presently so it worked and I'm thankful for that. I can't tell you what to do because everyone has a different perspective on what works or will work for their particular business and the types of things they sell . I'm just saying you haven't much to lose by trying out a few new ideas . Good luck on whatever you decide . . tulips

Hmmm ... 140 items sold in the past 90 days.
In May I get approximately $500 on 27 items
[Last 12 days - 8 with 0 sales. Total $ = less than 150 US. Last 6 days - 3 sales - all on Monday.]
According to Solds .... Last 12 days: May 12-24: 11 items sold for about $188 (some were BO, so that's approximate)
