I am so surprised that Ebay has eliminated some of the choices I would make for a second category.....They make money on second category choices...For example, I would have listed an antique Wedgwood sugar bowl under Wedgwood and antique porcelain...My feeling is, the people who initiate these changes are completely out of touch with what it is like to sell on Ebay....

I never have used a second category, I always felt that a good title will bring it up in the search. I'm not sure how many shop categories.

I might browse a category occasionally but there are so many categories and subcategories that a seller might list something anywhere. My regular search is by keywords but not categories. I browse categories occasionally in case a seller has misspelled his title so it fails to come up in search properly.

I find a second category is not necessary for many items but with antiques & collectibles, I like to reach different audiences with one auction....For example, I am selling some sailboat fabric this week and the Nautical decor category under collectibles is gone leave me with only the crafts category where my fabric will be listed with so very many other fabrics....I like to put books with books and a category that will the the target audience of the subject matter...Sigh

I guess I think other buyers are like me and I do a search with key words for what I am looking for. I have never searched categories. Maybe others do, but I still feel that a good title will bring it up.

eBay WTH did you do? You just consolidated like 500 comic book categories into 1.... RU Kidding me? When I am searching I narrow my search by using the categories. When selling I can get my listings into those categories that someone like me is narrowing down to as well.
This change is idiotic.
