When listing on the old Markdown manager, you can select 'entire inventory' for 'x' amount of days. Whenthe sale would start, you can list new items and they won't roll onto the sale you just started.
On the new Markdown manager, if you start a sale as 'entire inventory' and then continue to list after the sale has created, then the new listings will automatically be added to the sale...
I have never noticed this before for many, many sales. I'm not sure if it was announced with the new Markdown tool, but what I read I didn't see any mention of this.
Just a little heads up for anyone who didnt happen to know this yet. Had listed a few new items I didn't want to go on sale and they roiled onto my sale I started many hours before.

yeh we bought a few items in our cart last week that were insanely marked down. pretty sure it was accidental but none the less, we bought them! also we dont use markdown manager, we just lower the price. don't understand the whole time wasting concept here all the time...but i guess so.

doesn't matter, most sellers aren't making any sales so markdown manager is irrelevant

Anybody have any clue while this is happening?
it says right here in the attachment, 'once a sale has been created, no new items can be added to the sale'.
that's completely wrong...happened to me again with my sale last night. Posted a few new items HOURSSS after the sale started, and my new items rolled onto the sale. I prefer NOT to Markdown new items 30%!!! What's going on here....? Someone from eBay care to chime in?

In another thread about this, I posted this:
There are two ways to select items to put on sale: Select Items or Create Rules.
Did you use "create rules"?
This is what the description says for that (Bold portions bolded by me):
"Create rules using categoriesChanging how you select inventory removes any inventory you've already added.
10,000 items per promotion
Set rules using categories or filters.
We'll include skipped items as they qualify and new items as they're listed.
Items can be removed at any time."

i mentioned this problem months ago and was told it was a glitch.
still happpening have to list then go back and edit all new listings again to get the price i want
when will this get fixed?
i didnt ask for new listings to be marked down just the listings that were available at the time i started the sale
come on ebay get this fixed or give us a solution or workaround i dont like wasting my time

im competing with people who sell for 2.99 with free shipping! shipping for these items thru ebay using their labels is 2.63./ how do you compete with people who lose money when selling?
