eBay removed four negatives from my account at my request this year. Is anyone else having problem with buyers giving comments that have nothing to do with the seller's performance?

@e2cosmetic
I don't know if eBay is still doing it, but for 'new' products, instead of rating the overall transaction as we are accustomed to doing, eBay required a "PRODUCT REVIEW" from the buyer instead in order for the buyer to proceed. This "product review" was posted to the comments section of the feedback, so it looked like what you describe.
This 'forced compliance' of giving a product review was supposed to increase product reviews on the site. Many people simply refused to fill out the information. It was often stupid to request such information, for example, on a book that the buyer hadn't read yet, or a dvd they hadn't watched. Not to mention, items they bought as a 'gift' for someone else that would never been seen or used by the purchaser.
Most people would say you "lucked out" on getting anything removed of late anyway with the "new feedback experience".

Low feedback buyers are risky, but a lot of it comes down to a lack of eBay experience. In cosmetics most of the trouble comes from buyers mistakenly thinking they're reviewing a product a la Sephora or Ulta, rather than the seller or transaction. There's not a lot we can do about it other than keep badgering eBay to remove the unjustified feedback.
Eventually, the buyer will either leave eBay or figure out what the feedback system is intended to do. Maybe there will come a time when eBay limits the buyer's ability to leave this kind of feedback or includes some sort of instruction that will help eliminate the problem. There have been numerous changes to the feedback system since eBay's inception so it is possible they'll further refine the process.

Well I fill out the form first. And if that doesn't work I call in. All negs have been removed. A seller has to know how to word why the neg should be removed. This is the first time I did it twice. And on the second request it was removed. Thank you for your information.
