I know that just about everyone finds their minds preoccupied with our thoughts and fears about the current coronavirus health crisis. And as a result, we may find ourselves not always being as ON POINT as we usually are when it comes to the details of running our ebay businesses.
I couple of weeks ago I managed to ship the wrong items to buyers; simply switched labels on packages so two buyers each got the other buyer's item. Clearly my mistake. But in this case, both buyers were willing to repack and ship the item to each other directly instead of shipping them both back to me to repack and ship to them. Naturally I reimbursed them for the costs associated with their shipping those items directly to each other, but they saved me from then having to incur the cost of purchasing another label had they both shipped them back to me.
And today I got a message from a buyer from whom I accepted an offer on a PAIR of curtain panels. So that would be two panels. Very clearly worded. But I had two SETS of those same curtain panels and had them stored together and when I got them out to ship I mailed the buyer all four panels instead of just the two. At the time, I remember wondering why the box was so heavy and cost so much more to ship than I had anticipated.....but I just wasn't thinking clearly enough to put two and two together (no pun intended!). I responded to the buyer and let her know she was correct and the mistake had been mine and that I was glad she will be able to use all four panels in her son's room.
So, just a shout out to my AWESOME buyers who have been kind enough to work with me when I've made mistakes and the one who was honest enough to bring something to my attention having received double what they thought they were going to get, and for thanking me for what amounts to an unintended gift.
I sincerely appreciate the small acts of forgiveness and kindness and even the acknowledgment from others when I inadvertently respond in kind!

You do need to focus entirely upon what you may be doing at the time to help you avoid making errors.
