Did you mean:

Buyers can not see items in my Ebay store.

Hi everyone!

This is the first time i'm writing here describing a major problem, however i'm on eBay from 2005 and everything was always fine.

In fact, recently i've received  messages from my permanent customers asking if i'm still in business.

This was strange to hear, so i ask why they are thinking so?

The matter is obiously that my customers do not able to see listings in my store anymore.

However it has more than 70 active listings. And i'm wondering what is going on over there?

Did they broke up eBay with all recent changings?  GTC history and other? Now i understand why my sales have dropped 25% comparing to the same period of last year.....

Do anyone experience the same issues? Your input is greatly appreciated

Thank you in advance

Roman

Buyers can not see items in my Ebay store.

Some international sellers have have been having problems with their listings showing in some countries even when they ship to those countries. I see 71 of your listings when I use a US or Canada location. But if I switch my location to Ukraine, Sweden, Norway or Romania, I see 11 listings.  A Hong location shows me 0 listings even though you do ship at least some of your items there. I didn't check all countries but obviously there is something wrong.  I will tag an ebay rep so that they know you are also having this problem.

@Anonymous brian@ebay

Here is another international seller whose listings are not been seen in all of the countries they ship to.

A couple of questions...

The seller has a number of nude  art watercolors but if order to see the title of the listing or a picture, I need to click on the verification link.  But if I do a general search of 'original watercolor nude art' in paintings, I see over a 1000 listings and none of them require verification.  If I search for original nude art in paintings on .com as a US buyer,  I see over 4,000 listings and they don't appear to need verification either.  When I searched for specific paintings that the original poster did  within those searches I couldn't find them. (added beach to one search, no results for the op. Added calm to another search, 0 results for the op)

My question are why does this seller's nude art need to have adult verification when so many other paintings under the same category do not and why can't I see their paintings within  those searches?

Also I just noticed that many (or all) of their listings require me to click on a see description link.  Would this be caused by the you tube link or other active content?  Could that be why I didn't find their specific items in search?

Good catch!

I used this tool (http://www.isdntek.com/ebaytools/ActiveContentScanner.htm) and I found 5 listings that have Active Content and non-eBay links.

>> Also I just noticed that many (or all) of their listings require me to click on a see description link.
>>Would this be caused by the you tube link or other active content?

Yes. Maybe. In the case of the ones I looked at it's because there are HTTP links in the descriptions that trigger the "See full item description" buttons. (and lots of non-secure, offsite links - the mystoremaps ones that are tracking links masquerading as images, and other off-site links)

>>Could that be why I didn't find their specific items in search?

No, unless something has changed (which I doubt). As far as I know, eBay doesn't ghost any listings for those reasons, they just hide the content behind the button (because google Chrome), and they warn the seller via emails and while listing.

I think you don't find their items in search because eBay has been hiding "adult only" items more and more in some weird situations.

It could also be a country specific thing - Russia has some strict laws on certain things and could be eBay agreed to restrictions of some sort for Russian sellers (that's a reach, but maybe). Or could just be luck of the draw. But the ones with an item location in Portugal are also adult verification, so I dunno. Interested in eBay answer on that.

BTW, I bypassed the adult verification on a handful of those search results by just going to the individual listings directly via the item number* on the search result.

*I have a bookmarklet that creates a URL from a highlighted item number and launches the page to make that easy:

First thing I would do is check and make new  shipping policies, tables or calculated or... whatever your using.  The store items will only show to those countries where a shipping policy exists ..there has been allot of changes over the years, if they are old its not a bad idea to make fresh new ones.

Thank you very much for your input, however i never used any shipping policies or whatever else, except a list of countries i ship to. Sweden, Romania and Hong-Kong were always there...
I do beleive something broke up recently on ebay. I guess new IT team do not know what they can touch inside and what not... It results in full of weird things actually happening. eBay sucks actually and it is not funny. We are loosing customers, visibility, sales.... And patience also.
For instance, did you met this situation?
Please look here - https://i.postimg.cc/SKVHXrrL/power.jpg
This is my powerseller status. I've used to be already for few years a silver powerseller. Now it just disappeared, though i meet all requirements! Extremely annoying and weird thing, doesn't it?
I'm gonna contact eBay support with this issue, but i have a doubts they can correct it...
Anyone is experiencing the same problem?

Hi @kosbik84, I am passing along this visibility issue to our tech teams for review. While I can see all of your items when I use a shipping location in the United States, changing the shipping location to the Ukraine causes most of your items to disappear from your store or search results. I'm not sure what may be the cause, though I do encourage you to make updates to your listings and profile page to remove any off eBay links, links that have the http:// prefix instead of the https:// prefix, and to ensure that all of your nude art has the appropriate Item Specific of Subject: Nude.

Though nude art is allowed outside of our our adult only section with limitations, there may be something in your listings that is requiring age verification in a way that similar listings don't require. You can look into this policy in more detail here. I will update the thread when I have more information about the visibility issue you raised and encourage you to touch base with any updates you may have should you see changes occur on your end.

Hi @Anonymous

Thank you for your input, much appreciated

However your suggestion in case of Ukraine is not right, because i do not ship to Ukraine, so it was usual that buyers do not see listing from countries i do not ship to. However, other countries, such as Sweden, Romania, Hong-Kong i do ship.  And the issue is that the buyers from those countries can't see my  listings either.

Those listing do not have any unsecure links or other active content. They were always visibles.

And recently i had a message from my permanent swedish customer, because he does not see stuff in my store anymore. This is a pure technical issue, happenned recently.

Another extremely weird thing

Please look at this pic:

Iused to be a silver powerseller. Now i've lost this status BUT i fulfill all requirements!

Can you please explain what's going on?

Hi @kosbik84, I used the Ukraine as an example in testing because you do not have your listings set up to exclude the Ukraine as a shipping location. If you check out item: 223470163633 you will find that the Ukraine is not in the excluded list of countries. With the current set up, your item should be visible when the Ukraine is used as a shipping country. As you have pointed out, the issue is not just for the Ukraine and this is what we are investigating. Thank you for your patience while we look into what might be going on.

The insecure links may not have any impact on the visibility issue you have raised, but I wanted to make sure this this issue and the item specific changes for some of your nude art was brought to your attention so you could make necessary adjustments.

As for your PowerSeller status, should you ever see you qualify for a certain PowerSeller level and this has not been applied properly, you can contact Customer Service and your level can be adjusted manually. I've gotten this resolved for you this time, and our Customer Service teams can address this in the future if needed.

Buyers can not see items in my Ebay store.

Until they fix the visibility issue, all you can really do if customers contact you saying that they can't see your listings is ask them to change their location under the shipping tab to a country that is working properly, click on get rates and then click on see other listings. For example, if they change the location to the US, they will see all of the listings.

11 of your listings do ship to Ukraine as you have no countries excluded on those listings.

@Anonymous  Perhaps some set up in the exclusions codes are causing this problem.  If I remember correctly, some of  the countries that the op ships are seeing only the listings that specify worldwide shipping without any exclusions. I didn't check every single listing but it does look as if the listings with exclusions are the ones that some buyers cannot see even though there is not an exclusion to those particular countries.   So a buyer in Sweden can see the op's 11 items that have worldwide shipping, but not any other listings even though they aren't excluded.

Hi @pjcdn2005, definitely could be a possibility. We will dig into it and see what might be going on!
