Good evening all, thanks for taking the time to read this. A buyer wants to cancel a $599 order; they sent a cancellation request with the reason being listed as “placed order by mistake”. I want to help the buyer by cancelling their order, but the cancelation request says I will owe $519 which will come out of my available funds. I have $0.00 in my available funds unfortunately. It says it will then charge my card, but I do not want it to because I do not want overdraft fees. The funds are currently on hold so I cannot use them to refund the buyer. Someone please help, how can I help the buyer without giving myself fees from eBay or fees on my card? How can I protect myself from any fees? The buyer is constantly messaging me.

It says it will then charge my card, but I do not want it to because I do not want overdraft fees.
I did something similar recently.
It was a Wednesday, and all my MP funds had been transferred to my bank account.
The refund was charged to my credit card, so there was no overdraft, I just paid off the card balance at the end of the month as usual.
The funds are currently on hold so I cannot use them to refund the buyer.
If the cancellation had happened on Monday, when I did have Held funds in MP, the refund would have come from there.
Or are you talking about Held funds because you are a newbie and all new seller have a Hold on payments (and did before MP, btw. It's a Buyer Protection.)?
Then the money will come from the Held funds. That's actually one of the reasons they are being Held.

Yes, it is funds on hold because I am a new seller. So the refund will come from there then, correct?
