Buyer wants item shipped to different address than his

Buyer says he just bought a house but the current occupants haven't left and he's not sure when they will. Buyer wants me to ship item to his step father at a different address other than the one on his account so item doesn't get lost between former and new address. His payment of $300+ is in managed payments waiting to be deposited in my bank .EBay says its ok to go ahead and ship. The  address he gave me to ship to is legit according to Google maps but obviously I don't know if its actually his step fathers address and I'm not sure what to do. What do you think?

Re: Buyer wants item shipped to different address than his

I generally use the eBay shipping label process for USPS but on occasion I use Pirate Ship which has Priority Mail Cubic that eBay does not have. I will also not use eBay if and when I ship UPS or FedEx simply because the price you pay is an estimate and once the shipper has the item you may get hit with a surcharge that eBay automatically takes out of your account. If I use UPS or FedEx I take it to the closest facility and purchase and pay for the shipping then and there. There have been some real horror stories from sellers who have purchased UPS or FedEx shipping through eBay.

I always make them change the address before I print the label otherwise your not protected if an issue arises. Goodluck and follow the policy Ebay puts out in writing not what a rep. from Ebay tells you.
