Buyer using Autopay in one week

A buyer won  a small item.  Then I noticed a message on my orders page that they were still shopping and would use Autopay in exactly one week.  I do not have any more current listings for them to continue "shopping".  I have never seen that before and wonder what its all about?

The way I see it you have 2 choices, you can either have auto-pay on and the buyer gets one week, or you can turn off auto-pay and the buyer gets 96 hours to pay.

Keep in mind, during that week the buyer can remove the card or self block it during the week period so basically you're not guaranteed payment either way.

The choice is yours.

Edit: I'm not sure but can't the buyer also cancel the transaction at any time as long as it hasn't been shipped yet and the seller can't decline it?

Actually, it sucks! Why do I have to wait a week when eBay allows you to cancel a transaction for non-payment after four days. It's ridiculous! I get the 1-Hour Autopay ... that makes sense. It's accurate, convenient and genuinely helps the Buyer (and the Seller) but to wait a week is stupid ... full stop.

Buyers can turn off auto payments:

On PayPal buyers can turn off auto pay to stop auto pays.  So, if the buyer pays using PayPal, then you wait it out.

A buyer can also edit the payment settings on eBay to block auto payments.
