Hello.
A buyer purchased an item from me and later sent me a message saying:
"When I tried to purchase multiple items, eBay said you restrict purchases to one item every 10 days? Is that correct?"
I went here:
https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/BuyerRequirements
As I thought, I do NOT have the box checked next to "Block buyers who are currently winning or have bought
# of my items in the last 10 days."
For now, I added their user name to the "Buyer Exemption List" and asked them to try again. I am waiting their response.
What caused this and how can I fix it?
Thank you.

Did you uncheck the box? You should be able to do that and then save the change.

Box was not checked to begin with.

That is very odd. You may want to report this to Ebay to make sure it isn't a bigger problem.

Okay, the buyer was able to buy 3 more items from me.
In addition to adding their name to the Buyer Exemption List, I also checked the box next to "Block buyers who are currently winning or have bought # of my items in the last 10 days.", set the number to "75", set that requirement to only apply to buyers with "0" feedback, and finally checked "Apply above settings to active and future listings".
I don't know what worked, but it solved my problem... at least this time.

Experiencing the same thing. Hoping the same fix works.

Adding the buyer to the Buyer Exempt list worked; buyer had no problem purchasing after that.

Same; box was unchecked yet the restriction was applied.

I reported it--among many other anomalies, but I don't see any changes.

Good. That is the right approach. Did you get a ticket number? That is an important piece of info to have as it is how they track it. If you didn't get it, contact them again and get that number, then share it here.
The more people that contact CS and have their name added to the ticket number, the higher that problem rises on the priority list. So get the number and share it so others can get on the list. Very important.
