Buyer suddenly turns into problem buyer

I recently sold a back brace for morbidly obese people. Everything was fine and dandy. Today apparently it was "out for delivery." So the buyer messages me "it says out for delivery. Where is it? It's 6pm!!!!!!!!" As if I'm the USPS. Keep in mind, the buyer has been on ebay since 2012. Then the buyer, who bought a 6XXL back brace, opens up an item not received case on me, and now my funds are on hold. I'm just imagining someone who looks like Brendan Frasier in The Whale getting any because their back brace is maybe delayed a day or so. This is someone who's been on ebay for over a decade, and is this erratic? It makes me think they live a sad life.

Re: Buyer suddenly turns into problem buyer

If the buyer opened an INR, which he has every right to do, just upload the tracking number to the INR and apologize for the USPS. You can encourage him to also contact his local post office.

At this point, has it shown delivered?

Re: Buyer suddenly turns into problem buyer

Email the buyer and let them know that you will contact the post office on Monday.   Definitely go there with the tracking #.  It's possible that the carrier scanned it  and then got busy and did not drop off the package and it's sitting in the back of the vehicle.   They are NOT supposed to scan them until they are dropped off but sometimes, the carrier scans them ahead of time. It's very possible that the item will be delivered tomorrow.

If you see that the status changed and it says delivered, IMMEDIATELY , write the tracking # on the case and it should close.

Re: Buyer suddenly turns into problem buyer

As a new seller (or even as an occasional or returning seller) your payments will be on Hold for up to 30 days against your performance,

Which includes shipping and delivery.

"Today"?  This is Sunday . USPS does not to my knowledge delivery on Sunday and you might politely remind the buyer of that.

RESPOND TO THE CLAIM WITH THE TRACKING NUMBER!!

Yes eBay already has it.

Do it anyway, because the claims robot and the shipping robot don't speak to each other.

That should get you enough slack that the delivery on Monday will be fine.

My headcanon is that your backbrace customer is in pain and lashing out.

And if the brace is made in China the "6XL" is only about a US size 20 or so.

Friday the clerk at the PO said they had started to receive a lot of Prime packages - a lot as in twice as much as normal.

Might be worth mentioning that in the response. The robots may not see it but the customer will.

But the tracking number is the important part.
