I blocked this person and made sure it was selected that she could not contact me. Does it take time to take effect or something? She contacted me again about 10 minutes after blocking her. I just don't want her to buy my item. Thank you!!

The blocking will not apply in certain cases: if you are involved in a current transaction, or if you reply to a message, the user can reply back.
It may also be possible for the user to contact you directly from the feedback or profile page.

@Anonymous There may be a delay but go back to make sure you selected no contact from this buyer. You can always just ignore her as you aren't required to answer her either way. Best of luck to you....

Your block will prevent her from buying your item, yes. It does not prevent her from communicating with you under certain conditions, such as (I think) recent correspondence, or past purchases within 30 days or so.
You can simply ignore her further messages, though she may resort to other strategies such as setting up a new account or having a friend buy for her. What kind of red flags were you seeing?

It may take a while for the do not contact to activate. In the meantime just delete her messages do not respond. She should not be able to buy your item under that id. Of course she could have another id as some buyers have multiple accounts.

Thanks, it's probably because I replied to her. I shouldn't have, but I get tired of thinking I got a sale then having it be a message peppering me with nitpicky questions and unreasonable requests. "Yeah, the listing is for a Playskool Holiday Inn, but I'll just remove every item from the Inn to sell to you separately in a new listing after I answer your five questions." (No, that's not what I replied, but I wasn't very nice to her, either.). I'd normally block and move on. I get tired of these entitled people, though.

Just don't reply to the messages but if they get start getting narky you can report the buyer to eBay
Ask a question - get an answer - accept answer as seller decision and choice - should pretty much be all the correspondence anyone needs IMO

You're entitled (Har! 😁) to ignore her, yes, but I do have a couple of thoughts after having viewed the listing:

Excellent points, I admit I was too lazy to check the listing, but think you are on to something acgreen

having that Nativity scene included is just bizarre.
Ok, glad not just me - I was puzzled as to how it ties into the Holiday Inn under the sign that says "Dancing Every Saturday". Thought I was missing something? (no offense meant to OP)
Cool vintage set, OP - a-c- is right, it would probably help to insert dimensions and weight of the Holiday Inn. Good luck with it - great condition for the age of toy set. Neat find.
