Buyer's history

Good morning, I'm trying to find out about a buyers history, I just sold a item and the buyer is from 2019 but has only purchased 1 item and now this is his 2nd purchase.  I just fund it strange and I've communicated with the buyer and yet no response, I haven't sent the item he purchased yet just in case this might be a fraud?? Any advice will help.

I communicate with the buyer's to let them know, that there item is getting ready to ship, every other buyer I've dealt with has answered back because communication is KEY! and they appreciate it.

There's no need for that at all.   You just ship it.   My communication is shipping the item.  Ebay lets them know that it's been shipped & what the tracking is.  There is absolutely no communication necessary, unless there's an issue.

I'm surprised you have all these buyers answering you back, what are they saying?  Why are they answering you back?   That's very unusual, at a time when only about 20% of buyers even leave FB.

BTW, on a recent vacation, I wrote about 20 buyers to make sure they saw that I was on vaca & that I wouldn't be shipping til I got back.   On my last vaca, which was over 4 years ago, most buyers replied saying they had seen my vaca banner.  This time, not one replied.  Every tx went off without a hitch.   Buyers want their item, not "communication".   Communication is only key, if there is an issue.  Also, I second that with the type of items you sell, most probably have no wish to communicate about it.

Buyer's history

My last  7 sales have been to buyers that have been on Ebay for many years and have very, very little buying history.

No feedback but no complaints, either.

Do admit that 6 were vintage items.

HI!  "I'm surprised you have all these buyers answering you back, what are they saying?  Why are they answering you back?   That's very unusual, at a time when only about 20% of buyers even leave FB."   I always write my buyers & thank them plus send a thank you in the package.  I also ask if they would like to know more about my items, the history of them.  I am selling my Lovely Mothers treasures & mine also. Other than when I buy something to take my mind of that to sell, like baseball cards, etc.. Most write me back😊

I don't think feedback is really the best indicator of a buyer's history. It can help, sure. The thing is there are sellers who don't leave feedback for their buyers, and there are buyers who don't leave feedback as well. So feedback doesn't really show all of the history.

2019 was right before the pandemic. I didn't buy anything for two years because of the pandemic. The last thing I had bought was in January 2020, and I started buying again in March 2022.

Of course, feedback is not the best indicator of a buyer's history.  And that's because buyers can only receive positive feedback or none at all.

Some of us don't mind infrequent buyers. Sometimes it is the buyer with a long history that knows all about the MBG that you need to worry about.
