This is my first sale on ebay so, I'm looking for some advice before I send my item out.
I listed a 5th gen iPod touch last night and someone opted to "buy it now".
He has been messaging with me and asked for it to be sent to an address in Nigeria that is marked as "confirmed" in an email from PayPal that says payment has been receieved.
My concern is that I was paid an additional $100 for shipping and according to the online USPS Postage Calculator, the shipping cost of their preferred method (Priority Mail Express International) is between $33 and $63 depending on whether I send it in an envelope or box.
Should I cancel this sale or is this a legitimate?

For any eBay order:
DO NOT ship to any other address than what is on the eBay/Paypal invoice. Be sure Paypal says ok to ship.
I would message your buyer and explain that you can ONLY ship to the address on the order, and if they are unable to receive it at that address, they must ask you to cancel (and they can re-purchase using the correct address before submitting payment.)
This buyer will go away, because this IS a scam. Cancel for the reason "Problem with address".

You only ship to the address as stated on his paypal account. NO WHERE ELSE.
And I am certain that paypal email with the change of address is bogus.
Cancel problem with address and immediately block him.

You weren't paid. Did you log into paypal and verify you were paid? or are you going by an email you received! DO NOT CANCEL. File an unpaid item dispute instead. You have to LOG IN to the paypal website and make sure the buyer has paid and that it is OK to ship! NEVER go by any email sent by ebay or paypal!! That email you received is FAKE!

This is the confirmation I receieved.
Does this look legitimate to you?
Should I cancel?

Have you logged into your Pay pal account to make sure the payment was completed?

In my paypal account, it says I have no balance.
The only notice of payment I have is from the email.
Is this definitely a scam?

"You've been paid." Some fraudsters try to trick you into thinking that you've received a payment. They want what you're selling for free. Before you ship anything, log into your PayPal account and check that you were actually paid.
"You have been paid too much." Fraudsters may try to convince you that you've been paid more than you were owed. For example, a spoofed email says that you’ve been paid $500 for a camera you listed at $300! The sender asks you to ship the camera in addition to the extra $200 you were “paid” by mistake. In this example, the scammer wants your camera AND your money, but hasn’t actually paid you at all. Don't fall for it! Simply log into your PayPal account and check that you were paid before sending anything.
