I have a buyer who purchased a bike, I have tried to arrange pick on several occasions and buyer refuses to arrange time. I have asked them many times to either pick up item or request a cancellation. It is now almost 1 month since the original sale. I have tried to initiate a cancellation requested by buyer yet they refuse to cancel. What can I do to cancel sale without incurring a defect etc ?

Relist and move on. I know its time that you can not get back, but that is going to happen. Plus the economy is not so great. Relist it and wait for the cha ching noise. Take care

See if you can still open an unpaid item case on the buyer. They obviously are playing games.

Not sure of the answer but it seems like a good question to ask ebay on social media. There might be some sort of strike against the buyer in the mix. If you relist as someone suggested would that create a problem if the buyer chooses to open some fraudulent "non-delivery" case after you sell it again? The buyer did pay for it. I suppose you need to issue a full refund so you can relist the bike on ebay or maybe on Craigslist.

"See if you can still open an unpaid item case on the buyer. They obviously are playing games. "
This is not an unpaid item situation. The first line of the post says, "I have a buyer who purchased a bike, I have tried to arrange pick on several occasions and buyer refuses to arrange time. "
There is no unpaid case here. It's sort of like someone paying for a large item at a garage sale and saying they will come pick it up "later". I set the limit of "later" with no refunds as two hours at my garage sales. If an ebay buyer doesn't actively work to receive a Local Pickup item within a week there must be some policy ebay has in place for this type of situation.

If they're not picking it up, they no longer want it.
If they no longer want it, cancel the transaction. Reason: Buyer requested.
Good luck and stay safe!

You do not mention the length of time that this has gone on, but why don't you just cancel and refund (if you were paid), citing problem with buyer's address or buyer requested as the reason?
It's always good to have local pickup items paid for at pickup rather than through PP.

But did they pay? Usually for local pickup you pay when you meet and are happy with the way the item looks. The OP may have said "purchased" as a general term.

I honestly don't know if this question is in the right category or thread. But I want to list my website https://www.buysalesprice.com on eBay. I hope it is allowed? I hope someone directs me properly since this place is a marketplace community.
