Buyer recieved package but Ebay won't mark it as delivered?

I put in the tracking number through USPS and it's been delivered 5 days ago. But when I check the shipping status on ebay its not even in transit. How do I fix this? Also I'm still a new seller so the funds are on hold until the tracking is updated.

I would capture a screen shot of the USPS site with the delivered message and contact Customer Support and share the photo. It wouldn't hurt to have the buyer send you a note via messages confirming receipt and share a screenshot of that as well.

I have found eBay's tracking information to not always be accurate.

Maybe somebody has other advice.

Did you purchase your shipping label on ebay?  If you did, the tracking number should have been auto populated and should basically show the same thing as the USPS website. 

If  you purchased postage at the Post Office, or from some other service that has not been linked to ebay, you have to enter the tracking number into the transaction/order manually for it to track on the eBay website.

Yes, i also recommend you reach out to customer service to give them the correct data from usps. Sometimes the eBay tracking is slow to be updated.

If eBay is not showing delivered, I would leave the buyer out of the process.

99.99% of buyers are great.      .01% can take advantage of a situation.

You put it in WHERE and WHEN?

Tracking numbers should be uploaded on the day you ship the item.  If you entered it today lets say and it shipped a few days ago that a problem.   The tracking on the transaction will not just update because you entered the tracking number.  The Ebay system isn't on real time.  They pull that information from the various carriers a few times throughout a 24 hour period.  So if you just entered it, you need to wait for it to update.  It could take a few hours.

It is easiest and cheaper to create your shipping labels in Ebay.  Then the tracking numbers auto upload.

Take the tracking# with a proof of purchase to the post office and have them update the status.

1) Did you purchase the label through eBay or elsewhere.

2) If elsewhere did you add the tracking number to the shipment?  Did you type it in correctly?

3) If you purchased the label on eBay, then contact CS with a screenshot of the Tracking history as suggested.

You almost certainly have a typo in the tracking number that you uploaded to the eBay sale. You can upload an additional tracking number, so try this: look up the number on USPS.com and verify that it's showing the correct Delivered result. Then, to avoid any further typos, copy-and-paste the tracking number directly from the USPS.com page to your Sold items form, adding it to the existing (incorrect) number. eBay should now note that there is more than one tracking number associated with the sale, but otherwise the one you have added should reflect the Delivered status.

Long time seller here and I buy my labels on EBAY , the number uploads here on ebay automatically , but I have had at least 10 items that have been slow to upload on ebay while the USPS site is showing delivered as well. Just so you know it isnt just you having issuses with ebay and their slow process . One last thing some of the people here just want to throw you did what where and how and make it look like you are wrong. have a good day.

Agree, eBay tracking not up to snuff. I often use some of the other tracking services to verify whereabouts of a package like Ship24 or Track My Shipment. Get more granular results the even the PO
