Hi,
I sold an item on eBay and the buyer says they received a completely different item.
I have photo's of the label I sent and the label they received and they look different. So seems like the label has been reprinted somewhere along the delivery chain (or perhaps by the buyer).
Ebay has awarded the case to the buyer and they have received a refund.
I have tried raising a case with myhermes but they have ignored my request. It is hard to raise a support case because they see the item as delivered end of story.
Any suggestions on what I can do to receive any sort of compensation?
Regards,
T

You sold an expensive designer purse (?) and the buyer claims it was Not As Described?
Did you ask that it be returned before refunding?

Unfortunately, eBay's software has misdirected you to the discussion boards for the US site (ebay.com). You'll want to post this question on your "home" board so it can be better--and more accurately--answered by your fellow sellers.

In the meantime, ebay.com staff is trying to research exactly how UK members are being misdirected to the US site. If you have a moment, could you post the URL of or link to the page from ebay.co.uk that brought you here?
You may post it right here or in this thread where it's being discussed by eBay staff:
Redirects from UK eBay sites to US eBay sites
Thanks!

Was this sent through the global shipping program? They do put a new label at the gsp Center before the item gets forwarded and it’s possible that they accidentally switched the item at that time. You should be able to see by the tracking if the item went directly from you to the buyer or if it first went to the gsp Center.
If buyer is saying that the item they received was similar to what they purchased then it probably isn’t a gsp problem.. But if you sent a watch and they received a ‘book’ AND it was a gsp sale, then the gsp should be the one refunding but you would have to contact eBay about it.

How did you conclude it was a designer purse when the only sales in the last six months were for electronic items?
