Buyer ordered from someone else but showed me as a seller

I've been struggling all summer with ebay, low sales, glitches, and constant reply that nothing is wrong with the site.

Had a buyer send a message asking for tracking on an item, typical request, except, I have not sold that product for months. Turns out the buyer purchased from another seller. I called ebay and they confirmed the buyer bought from someone else. I asked the buyer to send me a screenshot to confirm what he said, just making sure the buyer didn't get confused. Screenshot clearly shows it was purchased from me.

Why can't ebay just be accountable for for their actions. I've spent hours with with CSR's going over reports. Have revised listings, increased our listing by 25%, reduced pricing, promoted EVERY listing but sales still drop.

EBAY JUST SAY YOU ARE BROKEN AND TELL US WHAT YOU'RE DOING TO FIX IT.!!

@wickedwolfauto  Double check your Seller Dashboard and make sure you aren't slapped with a late shipping defect for not uploading tracking within your handling time ... that would be ultimate insult to injury right?!?

Thats a pretty major screw up.  I find it hilarious!

I feel bad for the buyer, no part and no idea who to ask where it's at.  These are the problems that send buyers to Amazon.

Just out of curiosity, have you logged into PayPal and checked to see if you received a payment from this buyer?

Every now and again, eBay loses the seller's side of the transaction.  It happened to me once.  I had a payment in PayPal, but my eBay item was still active (not sold).   I ended the listing and shipped.

This has happened to several other people as well.
