Hello
I have a buyer here who ordered the wrong item and used not as described as the reason for return.
when I asked for buyer why he file the request he fully admitted to ordering the wrong item. He claimed he didn't open the box yet.
I called eBay twice and they both told me I have to take and pay for this return because it is eBay policy.
that doesn't seem right or fair? can i get some advice on my next course of action? the buyer seems to be an experience ebayer with a high scrore from buying lots of things every month.

If you wait until buyer ask Ebay to step, you might lose the money and item.
Yes, the key word here is MIGHT. Usually a return is required.

@aeroblitzracing wrote:They said they cant intervene till the buyer ask then to step in. But it clearly shows that if the buyer admits to ordering the wrong item / buyer remorse then it voids the buyers claim to a not as describe return. I dont understand why some ebay reps dont follow their own ebay policy
If you call 10 different times and get 10 different reps the story is different!!!!! Please don't wait for the buyer to ask eBay to step in cause it's the end of the story . . . and you will be punished!
As far as the eBay reps are concerned, in my opinion, is they are "under-trained" and only there for a paycheck. There are just so many unpublished rules for even the sellers to keep up with. Please don't fight the return!

I would just accept the return but explain to the buyer that I needed him to pay for the return shipping because I was already out the money for the original shipping. It just seems the most reasonable way to go.

So Ebay is making the buyer pay for return shipping however i still need ro refund original.
If Ebay followed their policy they should of closed the case in my favor.

Because they have to actually commit the wrong.
Lots of buyers don’t bother to follow through on the return and just keep the item after all.
They have to actually abuse the system for you to report and appeal.

No, you don't need to refund @aeroblitzracing eBay will force the refund a few minutes after tracking shows delivered back; read it again:
You backed yourself into a corner. Worse, the 2 business days you usually have to look over the "unopened box" returned item is now: Zero.
