So,should I be worried ? It’s a $43 item including shipping. Why would someone open a new account just to buy a pair of shoes ? I have a no return
policy . These were new Birkenstock’s shoes.

We all started with (0) feedback. It's not unusual for a buyer to open an account to purchase something.
Make sure to ship with tracking to prove delivery and ship to the address on the "Order details" page to keep your seller protection in place.

When a customer pays, I ship.

As mentioned, there have been quite a few instances where buyers opened an account just to buy one thing they want.
Are you aware that your "no returns" stance won't fly if the buyer opens an item not as described case?

Please keep in mind that 'No Returns" does NOT equate to "No Refunds".
ebay does not require returns, but they do require refunds for 'Not As Described' and 'Damaged'. Buyers have been known, upon occasion, to claim either to get free return shipping and returns/refunds.

I've had LOTS of sales to people with 0 feedback who just opened their account on the same day. That means they saw your item and wanted to buy it. Very common. I wouldn't worry about it.

I just want to clarify that eBay will not require a seller to refund and let the buyer keep the item unless the seller fails to resolve the problem. The seller must respond to the request and resolve the problem in order to avoid this.

So, say you had never been to Macy's but saw something they had that you wanted. You went online, opened an account, and bought the item. Should Macy's be worried?
I really don't understand all the people who freak out when a new member buys from them. Were you not a new member the first time you bought something? Doesn't every new member have to start at 0? 🤔
A huge percentage of my buyers are brand new. If I worried every time I shipped one of their orders, Id be dead of high blood pressure or a heart attack.

Because most buyers do not realize that they can buy items on eBay without having an account.
As for whether you should be worried ... IMHO no more so than you should be worried about any other transaction.

As long as they don't ask you to add gift cards for their niece you should be ok. lol
