Hi,
I have a buyer who purchased an expensive item from myself, they were not there for delivery and I’ve tried to reach them with multiple messages through eBay app but they are not responding. I’ve rescheduled the delivery for tomorrow but curious to find out what happens if they are not there again? Does parcel get returned the sender and issue refund to buyer, also what happens to delivery cost and fees?

After a few attempts, the parcel will be returned back to you. The courier doesn't want to keep trying & trying & trying and they will simply return the parcel back to you. Once the parcel is returned to you, then you have the option of simply refunding the money back to the buyer or hopefully the buyer finally reaches out to you & purchase a new shipping label for the shipment. People could be out on travel right now & forgot to put a package hold for all deliveries.

I know there are many people having same issue as me- messages through ebay are not being sent or received. Not saying that is case here, but could be why you have not received a response.

If/when it gets to the point where the package is returned to the seller, the seller can refund the buyer, but should/could deduct the cost of shipping.

If a parcel is unable to be delivered to the address of record then the seller can refund less all expenses including shipping and other incurred fees.
