Several times a buyer makes acounteroffer and I accept it but it's not in my awaiting payment screen. I have contacted eBay but I get no answers. Has anyone had this happen? Any workarounds? Thanks.

Did they automatically pay? Is it in your "Awaiting Shipment" folder?

@trianr
Sounds like the new "enhancement, experience, test, entended change that looks like a glitch" scenario.
Been rolling out and going on (and apparently off) in various forms over the last few weeks. Read here:

Apparently, the OP @trianr has turned the 'auto pay' Buyer requirements to NO, so it wouldn't be there. It doesn't seem to matter for this ongoing rollout that is an intended "enhancement, change, test, improvement that looks like a glitch" if a seller kept the requirements or turned them off. Maybe eBay will get around to informing sellers and buyers what is going on here, but they prefer to remain silent while a (non)great eBay experience is had by all who use the offer system continues.

It's not sold until they actually pay for it, regardless if an offer is accepted. This way others can still view your item and click "buy and pay now" . If the item was won via an auction, then you would see it in the "sold waiting payment".
In my opinion this is a good thing since a slow or non paying buyer doesnt take your item "off the shelf" until paid for

No and no. This has happened a couple of times. People are not paying for the items that they have committed to and I can't communicate with them because they are not in awaiting shipment. I guess this is a new enhancement from eBay. I don't like it at all.
