Buyer lied about item being damaged in order to file claim

A buyer purchased an item from me through auction. Then complained about the item when I clearly put the description and pictures. Then eBay gave her the refund of over ($110) and charged me $10 extra on top of that for the return shipping, and I never received the item back.

I don't see any history of selling and you have no current listings.. I do see you have complained and voiced your experiences numerous times with neg or neu feedback for others.. so you know from experience the buyer is in the drivers seat around here

Im all about what’s fair and what’s right. I’m not going to sell anything that isn’t accurately described or ignore any questions just as i’d expect not to purchase something that is not accurately described. It’s a two way street and should be treated as such. What’s fair for both parties. What isn’t fair or right is stealing.

Not everyone posts from the sellers account. People on here can be very vindictive.

Had a folk do that (more than one but I'll reference this specific one) 4 months ago and eBay allowed him to return because I have a return policy (which I may get rid of soon if this stuff gets worse) but they offered to give me my restocking fee.  Guess what?  They conveniently forgot to do it.. ha.

Did you check the tracking # of the label that you were charged for to see if it was delivered?

If it wasn't, you'll have to call ebay to get your money back.

It's not just you.  I"m getting my item back, but I had to pay to get it back and eBay is pushing to refund them before the item is returned.

Now any seller with a couple brain cells knows that's a stupid idea.  But eBay seems to feel that they are smart and we are stupid.

I'd bet 99% of damage complaints are just people deciding now that they didn't mean to bid.

I never saw the label or the tracking number. eBay precharged me and then said the buyer sent it, then they charged me a second fee and sent an email saying the item was delivered but it was never delivered.

There is no way they are pushing a seller to refund before item returned. There isn't a single policy in place anywhere, that says this. If a person told you that, they need to lose their jobs.

Time to make a phone call.  You're not going to find the solution thru this avenue.

The buyer protection policy is  a good policy for the Honest buyer against a bad seller-- Sadly The buyer protection policy is even better for a dishonest buyer against a honest seller.

% wise there are more honest sellers as well as honest buyers than dishonest ones-if one reads the boards one would think the actualy % of dishonest buyers  is much higher as well as for dishonest  sellers.

Hopefully you will get your wiget back

eBay doesn’t precharge you. They only charge you if the label is used and they bill your monthly invoice.
