Over the last 2 days, a buyer from Russia makes single purchases every 20 mins or so using new and different user named accounts. I know it's the same person because they are using 2 different Oregon shipping addresses. They have now purchased 19 individual (same) items in different colors using different accounts. I have been cancelling and blocking each name after they purchase but they just continue to make a new account and make single purchases of the same item.
I went into my listing and changed all of the prices to crazy amounts to get them to stop. I don't know if they plan to move on to one of my other listings and continue or not.
I don't know what their intention is of doing this when I keep cancelling every purchase they make to try and deter them from doing this. It makes no sense
Has anyone else had this same problem before?

Problem with shipping 19 decals all together to 19 different user accounts is that you'll only be able to apply the tracking to one of their accounts. eBay won't allow the same tracking number being used for multiple accounts. The other 18 items are then vulnerable to be claimed "unreceived"
"Item Unreceived" is the excuse they'll use to claim for their refunds... Not as "Not As Described"
Since there's no tracking, eBay will gladly refund their money at your expense and you'll lose your money, your merchandise and your fees. Then your account will get dinged 18 times for "item not received". THEN comes the 18 negative feedbacks.
Also, purchasing multiples in different transactions is possible if they don't understand "English"
BUT, not using a newly created account every time they make a single purchase...every 5-10 min! That's what raised my suspicion and called eBay on how they wanted me to handle it.

Again.
Guest accounts.
I personally detest them but eBay encourages them.

@ironbreed wrote:The eBay fraud dept. says that they have been dealing with these Russian trolls that are making low dollar purchases to try and see if they work, so they can use these accounts to make large purchases in the future to defraud sellers down the road. They can't really control all of this activity with the use of hacking and VPNs.
So, BEWARE and keep your street smarts. If you see unusual buying activity, then you might want to cancel and block them to protect yourself from being part of this. Especially when they don't respond to your emails and keep making purchases with different accounts every 15-20 mins.
Just for those who have not ''read'' this post, ^^ OP is correct in his assumption and his actions. Another poster, 'somanypostcards' has been fighting this out for months (not necessarily Russian buyer's) and is determined to see it through.
Good on both of you

FWIW - my name is Scots/German and you couldn't pronounce it either.
I won't mail these since I fear they are just going to claim they never received it.
Freight forwarders are the second safest addresses you can have. (The safest is a USPS post office box.)
Once the forwarder accepts your shipment, your responsibility for delivery ends.
The real problem is the 30c non-refundable payment fee on each sale plus the international service fee on the non-US account.
Have you added all these names to your Blocked Buyer List?
Have you opted into the automatic Block for deadbeats with Strikes?
If these customers are using the same online address to contact you, the Block should refuse any bids or purchases from that address. Fingers crossed.
BTW - using Google Translate you could send your messages in Russian and in Cyrillic which might help with comprehension.

ZOMBIE THREAD FROM NOVEMBER 2021
The problem with zombie threads is that the information can be out of date .
Or in this case, the new posts may be unrelated to the original question.
