Buyer has some ridiculous name using number and letters that don't make any sense.
Buyer has 0 feedback. Lives in Oregon.

They probably reside in another country and use a freight forwarder to mail their purchases to them because it's cheaper than eBay's international shipping. The numbers and letters are a user number for the freight forwarder to recognize them.

You mean their email address? That is a buyer who did not create an eBay account to buy. They are given that email by eBay. You can buy on eBay using a guest account.

Did you contact the buyer and ask for their name? Something doesn't sound right. I'm thinking if you put what ever info they provided, they could claim they didn't receive the item since it's not in their name. I would contact the buyer and tell them you need them to update their address info and would not ship until they do.

Yes. No response. They have already paid.

re I agree. Sounds like a scam.

You are shipping to an address, not a name. As long as the package arrives to that address, you are good to go.

Did you click on the buyer's name(username) to determine if their profile shows they are in another country? The only reason why I think it may be an international buyer is because you said Oregon which is a no-tax state which is common for international buyers to use.

If the order on your ebay page says "ship now," you need to ship to the address shown. It'll come up automatically when you print the shipping label.

have you Google map the shipping address? What does it look like?

It's similar to sending a package through eBay's authenticity guarantee program. The letters and numbers identify to the authenticator to whom the package is to be sent after authentication.

I would be hesitant to ship with no actual name. Every package that I have sent in the past to a freight forwarder always had the buyer's name.

Agree with the-hook-and-the-loop this is probably a freight forwarder, Google the address. You can find the buyers country in the view order details. You also probably got hit with a 1.65% international fee on the total cost of the item. The 0 feedback may be attributable to a guest account. Unsure of the value of the item you sold but generally FF's are pretty safe to ship to and the buyers MBG is no longer in effect once the item is delivered to the FF. If the sold item happens to be one of the guns you may run into other problems depending on what country it is going to.
However, eBay has waffled on this policy for a number of reasons and of course eBay's policy means nothing if the buyer opens a chargeback. The CC company is going to look at the financial transaction only and in most cases such as an INR or a NAD the seller is going to loose.

I had a few buyers not use a name but rather a phase.
One was "Fly To Me". Some buyers are strange. And these were domestic orders.
Yours is probably freight forward. If your package is going to the Middle East...there is so much secrecy on what buyers buy there as well as other countries.

So you don't consider the possibility that the buyer uses a freight forwarder?
Read up on **bleep**. Many international buyers use them. There are quite a few in Delaware and Oregon because those states have no state sales tax.
