Buyer did not receive Feedback Revision Request

I have been on here since 1998, current account is active 16 years.

 

Last month I sold an item to someone in Italy. They received the item and left a negative. an extremely rare occasion with me. I contacted the guy and tried to mitigate (luckily I speak fluent Italian, otherwise it would have been a bigger problem).

 

After a few back-and-forth messages he consted to change the feedback. I promised him to reimburse + send another item, free of charge.

 

After we've established this, I sent a feedback revision request. He claims he never received it. I have an eBay message in my email box confirming they sent the feedback revision request. I then wrote to eBay support, which answered in a couple of hours. The representative said to ask the buyer to contact them for support.

 

I am getting pretty worried by now as there are only 9 days left to change this. I wrote him again asking to check his spam/junk or go directly into eBay -> Messages. Understandably I'm anxious he won't go through all this trouble to help Me out, and don't want to give him the runaround.

 

There is one thing: he accesses eBay.it, and I sent the request from eBay.com - I tried re-sending the request from eBay.it as well but it won't let me (says 'no feedbacks eligible for revision').

 

Is there a possibility that because of the different sites it did not arrive? I've had problems before with different eBays (for example I cannot add tracking #'s on eBay.it even though I have items listed there, it just won't let me).

 

This really worries me as I have kept a perfect record for 16 (sixteen!) years, which I'd really hate to see tarnished. Any problem I've had (and there were very few), I always solved.

 

The eBay rep. said they Did see in the messages he agreed to change the feedback, is there any chance someone there would do it for him on this merit?

 

I am at quite a loss here. Any support / ideas welcome... 😞

Maybe you needed to have sent it through ebay.it, but I believe it should have been received if sent by ebay.com.

 

Could be the buyer really isn't interested in changing the negative.

Ebay tells the buyer;

"If a seller would like you to revise your feedback, we'll send you an email with all the details."

Could it be that ebay sent an email to the buyers registered email address instead of their messages and the buyer didn't check email?
