Buyer did not pay through ebay

Hi,

 

An item I had for sale ended and the buyer messaged me to ship since they had already paid but eBay did not notify me to ship and my paypal did not receive a payment.  I get an email sent to my eBay email in spanish, which is different from my paypal email, that I had received a payment.  This raised many flags as my eBay email does not have a paypal account linked to it and the email was in spanish.  I tried to explain to the buyer but they accused me of lying and kept insiting that they had paid.  The buyer sent sketchy screen shots of them "paying" then gave me negative feedback. What can I do in this situation? I have already reported the buyer. Thanks.

Respond with (translate into Spanish).

I will send your item when my PayPal account shows payment has been made.

You could also check your listing had the correct email to send the payment to your PayPal account.

I tried sending them a translated response. My eBay was set up this way so that my payments go to my PayPal account. Both are linked.

Yes but sometimes there can be site glitches so best to check the actual listing is correct.

Just click on the listings and do a 'sell similar' then scroll down and check the email is correct and then x out of it. Do you by chance have non US payments blocked in PayPal?

First, double check where you have your payments goomg. If that's correct your getting scammed.

 

file the UPI and once you can close it, call eBay and get the feedback removed.

 

meantime, put the buyer on your blocked list.

The neg should be removable once you open and close a UPI, but you could always respond with "Envío esperado antes del pago recibido"

So no PayPal payment, does eBay show the order as paid?

If the buyer sends it to the non PayPal account email what happens? Do they get their money back or does it just sit there?

eBay says it is awaiting payment and has been the same since the bid was won.

I would just wait the 48 hours then file the UPI then close that out as soon as you're able to (4 days later)

Thank you all for the help. eBay changed the payment email which is weird since all my previous sales went fine. Is there a way to resolve this and remove the negative feedback? Where did the buyers money go? How do they get it back?

I'm not sure what happens in that case.

So the buyer DID pay but the email for payment on the listing was wrong?

You are correct. I read that the buyer is able to cancel the payment from their transaction details but at this point the buyer is refusing to cooperate to try and work out the situation.
