Buyer claims part missing

Just to give a little back story...This buyer purchased a Bicycle Stroller/Trailer from me. She left me a neutral feedback (my first one ever) because the box had some slight damage during shipping. I attempted a revision stating damage to a package after I ship it is out of my control. The buyer never responded and the neutral stands. Ok whatever. Now Yesterday I get a message from thee buyer saying that the part that connects the stroller to the bicycle is missing. I don't know what to think. I honestly feel like this person is being dishonest because maybe they didn't appreciate my revision request. I seriously don't even want to respond and whatever happens, happens. Should I respond, or just ignore her? Obviously it's possible the part really is missing but I just get that feeling that this is just a difficult person being an a$$.

If she opens a INAD case you pretty much have 3 choices

-Tell her to return for 100% refund and you will pay the shipping to get it back
-Give her a partial refund and let her keep it
-Ignore the case and eBay will fully refund her from your money and let her keep the item

Actually eBay considers you accountable for the damage because you chose what shipping company to use.

Sorry, I side with the buyer.

Did you open the item and inspect it?  If you're buying from thrift stores never assume the item is new just because it's in the box and sealed up.  You didn't picture the contents of the box, just the box along with stock pictures.  It's very common for thrift store shoppers to scan for value and throw it in their cart without checking to see if it's complete.  It's very common for the thrift stores to tape the boxes shut simulating it being brand new.  Chances are it was donated because the part was missing.

Best way to respond -

"Im sorry, Please return for full refund."

You offer free returns. It will be a Not As Described anyway.

There are times that new items come from the manufacturer without parts. I had something I bought last week missing hardware. I wasnt being dishonest, it wasnt there. I returned it and got a new one with all the parts.

This is part of selling.
