SO about a month ago he bought from me 3 times in a week. Nothing real valiable, cost for me was like 25-30$ for all three icluding shipping
All orders shipped asap so they posted in 3 envelopes, not tracked
Now she send this:
I don't want to open a request...
But unfortunately, I still not received the items
I prefer to receive the refund, please.
I will repay you immediately if I receive it later.
What should i do?
Should i ask her to open a request and then refund or just refund through paypal?
Ebay will refund the fees i paid?
Also, I know im not able to proof anything since they are untracked but never had same problem before and now 3 envelopes shipped sepetally and all lost their way looks quite strange
I feel like its a common practice to keep the items for free
If i contact ebay is there a possibility to check if indeed she done this again and again?

Request that they open a case for these.
This buyer may, or may not be on eBay radar for excessive claims, and may not file.
If they file, you refund by responding to the claim. No defect if you resolve the claim. You get your fees back except for shipping, and 30 paypal fees.
You are out the money either way. Don't give in to an under the table claim.

unless this is legitimate, and you just anger them and receive negatives for your trouble...

With an apology for the non-arrival, the seller can request politely that they do it that way, and explain to the buyer that they can get their FVF's back.
Just refunding via PayPal will not get fees back.
No reason for a legitimate buyer to get angry. Scammers get angry when they don't get their way.

There is nothing wrong with asking the buyer to open a case, and you can explain it is necessary, as previously stated, so that you can get your fees back. You can apologize for any inconvenience and state that this is according to the policy that Ebay has set in place of this situation. You can say that you understand that she does not want to open a case, but this is how ebay wants you to handle it.
Buyer may open a case, or you may never hear from them again.

Contact their local Post office and see if their carrier remembers delivering the envelopes to them recently. If they say yes. Then call eBay and ask them what you should do about it.

I suppose the waste of time to accomiplish nothing will be well worth it. And even if the mail carrier did remember 3 envelopes, they can't guarantee it was from OP. I get 5 envelopes a day...

What a waste of time. The seller doesn’t qualify for seller protection so why bother calling eBay and asking what to do about it? Furthermore the OP is in Greece. He’s already going to be out money because he has to refund the buyer. Why waste more money on an international call? Even if he was in the US, calling anybody is still a waste of time because whether the carrier remembers or not, the OP has no tracking proving delivery.

It might not be a waste of time. The buyer may not get much mail, and the carrier may have a good memory. The seller can make the decision of whether or not to block the buyer also, based on what they find out. Really odd to have 3 separate shipments not make their destination to the same address.

The seller is already out money here. You are really suggesting he pay for an international phone call that will accomplish nothing, and be out even more money?

OP didn't state that they are from Greece. Still not a waste of time to do a little detective work to protect your future sales. It'll be a learning experience. eBay can also look into the buyers purchase history. I had eBay side with me once, simply because the buyer was found to be abusing the system. eBay would never have caught them if I didn't ask them to look into it.

Except it is. Since the only outcome that would be positive is if the buyer doesn't bother opening an INR case, a phone call wouldn't matter either way so why make it? If the buyer opens a case, the seller loses no matter what anyone on the phone call says.

No tracking, no record of it being delivered. Send items with NO tracking and this is the cost of doing business when packages possibly get lost or you have a scam artist. In this day and age of internet scamming you need Signature Tracking and sometimes a homing pigeon with a camera to show it got delivered. LOL.
