Sold an item for $6.54 on 4/17 Buyer asked for a few days to gather the funds. 4 days later sent a message that payment can be made by the end of the month. How long can i keep an unpaid item open? I thought there was a time frame from ebay

If you are talking about waiting for a payment, and have not opened a UPI, my understanding is that after 32 days without payment it will time out at which point you can no longer recover your FVF.

Unbelievable, simply unbelievable. What type of reviews does this buyer have?? I have my profile setup to automatically open an unpaid item case two days after an auction closes, after that eBay automatically closes it, refunds FVF's and the buyer gets a strike against them for not paying for the item. For fixed price buy-it-now items I always check the immediate payment required box.

I suppose if you want to let a customer tell you how to run your business it is best to do it on an item under $10. I will never know how long I can keep an item open but I only give my best customers a week if they are bidding on multiple items in order to get combined shipping. The one off buyer gets three days from me and on the fourth day ebay steps in. Or is it the fifth day now?
