Buyer attempting to scam

The buyer is attempting to scam me using some fake PayPal email. The email says I have to provide the tracking info before the "funds" can be released into my account. Searched on the PayPal website for scamming and phishing and it clearly states that Paypal does not do such a thing and that once a buyer purchases something the funds are automatically put in. Buyer keeps telling me that is how Paypal works and keeps pressuring me to do it, even though gmail has flagged the email as has been recently been used to scam info. He keeps saying to check my email and spam folders for the email from Paypal, have only gotten 3 from the suspected scam email. I have told him that I do not feel comfortable with this transaction due to that reason. He keeps pressuring me to do it and check emails. What can I do here, if anything?

Buyer attempting to scam

Edit- Before you follow any of the below steps, check your PayPal account to see if the funds are shown as "pending" to make sure this isn't a new seller payment hold. If you can see the transaction in PayPal and it shows as paid and ok to ship on eBay then you need to ship- if you cannot see the transaction in PayPal then follow the below steps.

There are several actions to take.

1- Add the buyer to your blocked list- https://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BidderBlockLogin

2- Ignore future communications from this buyer. Do not respond any further!

3- If the buyer already committed to purchase through the eBay listing- not through messages- then file the Unpaid Item case 48 hours after the sale. https://resolutioncenter.ebay.com

4- Forward his fake payment attempts to spoof@paypal.com and spoof@ebay.com

5- Remove identifying information and post the content of the buyer's eBay messages to this thread as an eBay rep is reviewing matters like this- https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/Reply-Re-Removal-of-Report-Button-from-eBay-Messages/td-p/2991...

6- Contact eBay customer service by phone, FaceBook or Twitter- whatever is most convenient- to report the buyer's actions.

PayPal routinely holds funds for new sellers. Have you not experienced that with previous sales. If you go into PayPal, do you see the money, but it says held or pending?

Report this buyer immediately. DO NOT respond to anymore emails. If 48 hours have passed , open an unpaid case. Do NOT respond. He has everything that he needs to make the payment. As soon as the 4 days pass (96 hours exactly), close the case. Relist. make sure that you block this buyer. Also if you are a newbie ( Iforgot to check) add the following text to the descriptions in ALL of your ads... PAYMENT MUST BE MADE THROUGH THE EBAY PAY NOW BUTTON. I VERIFY ALL PAYMENTS BEFORE I SHIP. " That should scare away most scammers....

Um, just check the SENDER's email address: Hover over or right-click on the From: "PayPal" name. It's fake because it's not @PAYPAL.COM!

Thank you for letting me know. Definitely get yourself as far away from this as you can.
