Hi all- I sold an item a month ago and it is still in transit since its an international shipping. Buyer has already paid for the item but now he is asking for an invoice. I've been looking on how to send an invoice to the buyer but haven't found any option (the only option i am seeing in a packing slip and order receipt which is for the buyer) Any idea how to send an invoice to a buyer for an item that has already been paid and shipped internationally? Thank you

If the buyer paid tax it would show on eBay. Tell the buyer to view the order details on his purchase history page here and print that page: https://www.ebay.com/mye/myebay/v2/purchase
They will have more details on that page than you can provide.
If it's being held at customs then they may be asking the buyer to pay customs/duties which is between the buyer and their country. With eBay International Shipping there are both DDU (delivery duty unpaid) and DDP (delivered duty paid) options. If this was a DDU purchase then the buyer does owe the money customs is asking for.
This was an eIS package which means eBay will handle any claims filed by the buyer and you won't be responsible - if it comes to that.
I'm in your camp that I'd try to assist the buyer @harleyenthusiast84 , but ultimately this comes down to an issue with the buyer and their customs office, then with the buyer and eBay if the buyer doesn't want to pay customs. Aside from pointing them to their purchase history page, and this page about international shipping (link) there's really not much you can do other than point them to eBay CS for assistance.
Info from that linked page:
You can choose to pay for any customs charges, import fees and taxes either at checkout or when your item arrives. You'll see the following options at checkout:

I don't believe you can send an invoice for a paid item. Why does the buyer need it?

Hi @harleyenthusiast84 . Two options come to mind:
1. Tell the buyer to use their order details page as an invoice (they can print to PDF).
2. Go to the order, select 'print packing slip and more' and generate a packing slip. Send that to the buyer.

Odd request.
Shouldn't the buyer be able to see the complete order payment details at their end and print if needed for their records?

Expense report?
Taxes?
though the ebay generated one should suffice.

International buyer that needs proof they paid VAT/GST through eBay @harleyenthusiast84 ? The 2 options I posted above would both include that info.

@wastingtime101 Yes. He is saying that the jacket (that I sold to him) is being held at customs (Turkey). They're asking him to pay additional amount of $419 as tax. Invoice or the packing slip doesn't show tax info. it's only displaying shipping cost which is over $100 so not sure it that includes tax.

Not odd at all, International shipments should ALWAYS include an "invoice" (something that includes the buyer/seller info, value, description of goods, country of origin etc.)
The document is not for the buyer's personal use but rather for Customs that may not release the shipment without one.

I'm not even sure if eBay collects VAT on shipments to Turkey. even if they do there is probably a limit on the value that they do so. For example eBay does not collect VAT for EU orders if the value exceeds 150 Euro.
