What do i do in this instance? The money is paid, but it on hold. The buyer sent a message and asked my to ship to a different address. I told him that i can refund and cancel the order because of protection purposes, but now i dont see an option to cancel said order. Help?

Dont humor it. There trying to trick you. Let them know if they want the address changed to go into ebay and do it themselves. Best regards

Go under the Waiting for shipment" section. Find the order and on the left side it will say "Print shipping label", open that menu with the downward facing arrow and you will find what you are looking for. Make sure when you cancel it you use Problem with address. Hope this helps you.

You haven’t shipped the item, have you?
Do NOT ship the item until the hold clears and the payment actually shows received in PayPal, regardless if you plan to ship to the original or the new address.
That said, in this day & time ... with eBay’s ridiculous Buyer-centric policies, I would NEVER ship to an address that isn’t the address that was communicated at the time of purchase.
Right now, I don’t think you can do ANYTHING until the payment clears.
If it were me, I’d wait until the payment cleared, then cancel the transaction on eBay, citing “Problem with Address” as the reason for the cancellation, both to avoid the ding and to get your Fees back.
Hold on to message you got from the buyer asking for a change to the shipping address for proof of cancellation reason.

The transaction is not complete because the payment is in limbo.

Don't do anything until and unless the payment clears. Then if it clears you ship to the address on the mailing label. If the purchaser is honest, they will change the address in ebay and Paypal. It is likely that this is a scam. They want you to ship now to a different address. If this is a scam, the payment will not go through. NEVER ship before payment clears in shows up in your paypal when you log in and not through an email link.

@moneyronnn Why is the money on hold? You are a brand new seller from the looks of it so your funds will automatically be held and you will have to ship the item& upload tracking. Does PayPal say the transaction is eligible for seller protection? If it does then then hold is on your end not the buyers. That said, are you sure the account that contact you is the account that bought the item?

Log into your Paypal account.
Verify that you actually received a payment.
We need to know the status of the payment. All new sellers have holds. If this is a regular new seller hold, without an echeck payment, it will say it's safe to ship. If it is an echeck, it will NOT be okay to ship. The payment will have to clear before you can mail the item.
What exactly does Paypal say?
If it is safe to ship, you'll see something like this - okay to ship, payment status completed,
seller protection eligible.
