Just got off the phone with Ebay and very frustrated. Why is there no help for the seller and always for the buyer? Why are buyers allowed to get a refund for reasons like, "I didn't like it", It wasn't my size", I need something different". Are they not suppose to read descriptions and ask questions? If an item is not as described or damaged, yes, Ebay should help with a refund. If I go to the store to buy a pair of heels and walk out with sneakers, that mistake is on me for not paying attention. The same as it should be on a buyer for not asking questions or reading detailed descriptions. I have had a few lately that are like this and nothing I can do about it. Ebay as a money back guarantee for buyers, but what about sellers?? Just very frustrating. And, I talked to someone at Ebay and they cannot answer the question. I am sure nothing I can do about this, but wanted to hear any other comments regarding this.

Well, they have to fall on one side or the other. A selling platform that does not allow customers to return things would simply not last. But, you offer refunds with buyer paying shipping, so not sure I understand what the issue is?
Also curious- how are you still getting 14 day refunds on collectables?- thought that was only for a few categories, collectables NOT being 1 of them.

Sell with "no returns" it safer for the seller same sales results.

If you offer returns, then you accept returns for any reason.
If you state No Returns, you can indeed decline a return for buyer's remorse "I didn't like it", It wasn't my size", I need something different". Then of course, the buyer is free to leave whatever feedback s/he likes.

@mygangjackie
You accept returns, which means the buyer can return for any or no reason at all.

You offered eBay returns, and the buyer asked for one. eBay is not going to help you avoid doing what you promised.
Why are buyers allowed to get a refund for reasons like, "I didn't like it", It wasn't my size", I need something different".
Because that is what a "return" is. You offered eBay returns, and the buyer asked for one. eBay is not going to help you avoid doing what you promised.
If an item is not as described or damaged, yes, Ebay should help with a refund.
Those are both examples of disputes that are governed by the Money Back Guaranteee, not examples of returns.

As far as eBay is concerned the "customer" is "always" right.
Unless there is intent to defraud a seller the customer is always right.
If you believe otherwise and do not offer a refund sooner or later you'll earn a life time selling ban like they gave me.
I sold on eBay and I had a competitor buying an item the same of which they sold. I sold electronics and they where buying items from me and then making claims the item was not as described. I would grant a return to find out I had missing parts on the items they returned. Same part, over and over. Eventually I caught on but it was too late, my seller standard was toast.
You can always block a buyer but if the buyer is your competition it's easy to use a relatives account to do the same thing so the seller does not catch on right away. Who did this hurt, the buyer?? No. Me the seller, Yes. My vendor who I purchased the electronics from began to refuse paying me back for missing parts so I had to cover this nonsense out of my own wallet.
Yes I could delist the item but it was going on with other electronics I sold. Long story short did eBay want to hear my side of the story?? NO. eBay just banned me and didn't care. Buyer is ALWAYS right, as far as eBay is concerned.
