I have an offer from a potential buyer to purchase a Microsoft Office Suite which was listed as a box with both the CD and a license key to activate the use of the program. He states if he was to purchase it with his offer, he'd need 'key' right away via email and does not need the CD or original box.
Is there any risk to this scenerio or am I just worrying too much?
My concerns offhand are that:
1) I'm not truly fulfilling my contract by way of the sale as I'm providing only part of what was to be sold and this might be a breach of contract per se?,
2) Is there anyway there could be foulplay if I email him the activation key code?
I know there are scammers on Ebay and am leary of deviating from normal seller protocols.

He is going to scam you. Immediately stop emailing with that scammer and block him. NEVER EVER change your way of delivering an item at the request of a buyer. NEVER.

Gonna get scammed anyway probably, its OEM. On the back of the image of the product it clearly say's right in REAL ENGLISH language (Imagine that!) "...and it can't be redeemed for cash" so what's done? Auction it for cash. Possibly even a trial edition which are commonly sent with new PC purchases so when can try MS Office and if they like it then pay full shot for it. Either way, clearly a "Not for Resale" item as is stated right on the back of it.

Like - other than expediency - not sure what the scammer gains?
Could the buyer/scammer just as easily buy the software...take shipment, copy the code, and return it?
They could IF they were not using a stolen account or credit card. To a scammer time is of the essence, the longer it takes to complete the scam the higher the risk of getting caught.
If they need the code so badly they could go to their local computer store and buy it to install.
