Busy season and I'm just too busy for changes/errors

Ebay cracks me up.  The vast majority of their employees CANNOT be actual eBay sellers themselves. I hear them argue it but lets face it, if they were sellers, and good sellers that put the time in...they wouldn't be working for eBay.

I just had eBay close a case that the buyer should never have opened to begin with. The message stated that the funds were never refunded and are available. Yet, my PayPal account has a 'hold' on it. So, now I'll have to sit on the phone to clear this up. Don't have time for it and I've not even addressed the nearly 700 listings they threaten to remove for their new violation policy (already posted about this before).

Then I get on here and see pages of complaints on updates that are messing sellers up. All of this right before the make-or-break season for most sellers. It really has gotten comical to a degree. Ebay just can't leave anything alone.

In the "good old days", I was able to talk to Stateside reps, and a remarkable number of them were also sellers and they knew whereof they spoke.

Oh, here's the message from eBay after closing the case. Burns me that I shipped the same day as they ordered, actually within hours of paying, yet they're saying the PO didn't scan it within eBay's timeframe. And the PO errantly shipped the item from KY to PR, then back to TN, before going to AK. How is any of this MY fault? How many of you have encountered issues like this because of the PO? A few months ago I sent two packages, both insured/sig required, to the same address. The PO scanned one but not the other. The unscanned package arrived several days later and ZERO tracking info appeared until the very day it was delivered. Ebay sellers shouldn't be penalized for the USPS's inconsistant services...PERIOD.

----------------

Here's the case outcome

You don't need to do anything else.

We received tracking information from you that shows the item was in transit or delivered to the buyer's address. However, the date scan is after your stated shipping and handling time. In the future, please ship your items as soon as possible. You don't need to do anything else.

Transaction information: Any remaining funds from this PayPal transaction are available.
--------------------------

But two days later and I'm having to call PayPal?

P.O. doesn't scan 100% at every juncture...I've had packages not scanned until reaching the destination city...nothing in between.
May get worse for the holidays...

Called PayPal and get put in their callback line. Half an hour later they call, while I was trying to order lunch of course. I have to leave the line and stand outside where they were doing construction. All this, only to hear the rep tell me they'd have to have verbal confirmation from an eBay rep to release the hold. Or, I could wait the 48 hours that a hold usually takes. It's now well past that time and still has a hold. Now I'll have to call eBay and endure that wasted time. All because a buyer didn't bother to contact me first with a question and used eBay's 'didn't receive item' dispute system (when they even admitted that tracking was showing it still in transit). Buyer has their item and eBay claims it's all over, yet I'm still dealing with it. It's all ridiculous anymore.

Unreal. I'm more aggrevated by the minute. PayPal tells me yesterday that I have to call eBay and have one of their reps contact them to release the hold. Today, eBay calls me back and their rep tells me they can release the hold but it will take 3-5 days, or I can have PayPal call them on 3-way and do it manually. Why didn't the PayPal rep tell me that yesterday? So, I call PayPal, again, and now I'm back in line with a 43-60 minute call wait. And again, all because a buyer misused the system.

Jeez...

Are they saying that the hold is due to the buyer filing that INR dispute (now closed), or are they saying that it's just a generic funds hold that they apply to all sales from new sellers or ones with issues on their record?

Does the disputed item now show as Delivered to the buyer's place, or is it still en route?

PayPal says it's standard to hold for 48hrs. But this is after eBay sent messages stating that the case had been closed and my funds were NOW available. But, it's now been well over the 48hrs. And again, all of this because the buyer didn't simply message me first and instead went through eBay's system.

I agree, we are not responsible after the package gets picked up! I also scan the same day! But some mail people don't scan packages! ?? It happens a lot and if we get dinged for this, no one will be selling lol i don't think amazon does this nit picking! Please simplify things eBay! It's hard enough getting sales without all this drama! I love selling on eBay as many do! Don't make it hard for us!

PayPal calls back and I have to explain everything all over again. Only to hear, "Well there's a hold on the payment because a dispute is open". I explain it all and she tells me she can't do a 3-way call as told by eBay and she'll have to transfer me to a specialist team member to solve the problem. I have to explain everything all over again to the next rep, only to hear the guy say the same **bleep** and that I'd have to call PayPal. I said, "Wait a second, aren't I already talking to PayPal?". He said, "No, this is eBay". The PayPal woman transferred me to eBay, instead of her specialist. ARRRRGGGGGGG. He then tells me he'll transfer me back and I told him that I had to wait almost an hour for the last callback and he said he'd transfer me directly and to ask for a supervisor when they answered. Well, it transferred me to the same automated system I've been calling and now I'm back in line with a 1hr 18min to 1hr 56min wait time. And I'll have to explain everything yet AGAIN. And now my cellphone is about to die and I can't sit next to my charger the entire time. Beyond fre@kin' ridiculous.

I had to call PayPal this morning about an UAC (first rep didn't have a clue, told me it was "up to the financial institution" not PP) and when asked for someone that DID, put me on hold for 30 mins). Second call the autobot answer asked if it was an eBay case, and when I answered yes, transferred me to eBay (it's a PP dispute, sheesh).

3rd rep understood I was covered by PP seller protection and immediately released my funds.

You can sure tell JD moved to PP.

Never got a callback, so I tried again. Was about to be put in another callback line for up to an hour and was cussing like crazy as I was listening to the autobot. Suddenly a rep picked up (I do believe they can hear people as the autobot is playing). Had to explain the whole story three more times and PayPal was about to transfer me again back to eBay, saying they couldn't do the three-way call (both were saying each other had to do it). Finally threw enough of a fit that a superviser manually released the hold and apologized. All of this hassle for $11.44. And all because a new eBay user misused the system.
