I've been asked many times to write a bulk scanner to test for mobile friendliness. To that end, this bulk scanner will load each listing, test it's size, and report a color coded list of results, with red being considerably oversized down to yellow being just a tad oversized and white possibly fitting.

The tool produces only ballpark results because the results can vary depending on the browser you use or whether you have active content that is still to be removed, since either can affect the dimensions of the page. The tool probably won't run on a mobile device, erroneous reporting all is good when it is not. Nor should large jobs be run on an underpowered computer because the browser is going to be doing all the heavy lifting.
Again, the tool is just ballpark, but for those who have too many listings to check one at a time, it will at least tell you which are the worst so that you can address them first.
As an aid in determining the cause of not fitting a mobile device, each row also reports code elements that frequently affect size so that you can check those first (like images, tables, preformat tags, or long runs of characters). The tool will also report whether you have already added the viewport meta tag, which instructs the mobile browser to not shrink the page to fit and to instead use scrollbars if the page won't fit.
If you find serious issues with this beta tool, please let me know. I probably won't be updating it for a few weeks because the Active content tools are being updated to contend with the most recent set of mandates and issues that affect the item description.

For help with active content and description modification issues related to these new mandates, please feel free to post on the Active content forum.

You amaze me with all the time you spend helping others.
Would be lost without all your tools, your dupe listing tool has saved me more then once.
Active content saved my sister, she lives in another state so couldn't do all hers for her so I sent her your links and she was so happy to be able to fix her issues.
You Rock
