I had to cancel a listing because some stupid scammer selected "make offer" that met my minimum auto-accept amount and then that scammer tried to have me text them and do things outside of ebay. I told him that was a no-go and I had to cancel the listing and relist it because of the scammer.
Unfortunately, Ebay is still showing that cancelled listing in my 90 day total. Is that a known bug in their system? I tried to reach out to the development team but it is extremely hard to get in contact with anyone at Ebay about their system.
As a developer myself, I'm amazed at how difficult they make contacting their development team. Is there a better place to make bug reports?

On eBay an item is considered sold when the buyer commits to the purchase. The fact that the item was not paid for does not change the fact that it had been sold. It's been that way on here for years.

If you are asking for tax purposes, report this on a Schedule C as a return/refund.

Even though this is showing as paid on the 90 day totals, it will not be reported on a 1099-K because it was never paid. The seller cannot deduct it as a return/refund on Schedule C because no money was paid into his account.
