I've having many books assigned to Dolls and Bears/Dolls/Collector's Guides and Books when entering the ISBN. Books that have nothing to do with that category. And when this happens the entire description disappears. The only way to fix it is to omit the ISBN and opt out of Ebay's catalog information. The only problem with that is then people won't be able to find my book when searching by ISBN. This concerns me because mine is a book store.
Ebay has never fixed their book catalog. It was always full of flaws and assigning books to the wrong category. But now it's even worse. I saw books assigned to categories that have nothing to do with books.
The only way I can think to fight this is to stop entering the ISBN altogether and start including it in the Title. I don't even know how effective this will be. It may be no help at all. This is a pain in the neck because it will take 10 character spaces in the title line. But I don't know what else to do in order to try to protect my placements in the search engine. I like some of my listings showing up on Book finder and Google. Ebay with their messed-up system is messing with that. They're supposed to be helping me.
