Blocking non paying buyers

Trying to block non-paying buyers from being able to even bid or buy any of my items. This has been an issue for me 11 in last month. I would like to beable to retrict listings from anyone who has had a non payment case.  I would like to take them off beforehand. Help please

Re: Blocking non paying buyers

In your Site Preferences under Buyer Requirements, you can choose to block bidders/buyers who have gotten 2 or more strikes in the past 12 months.  That's the strictest option available.

Re: Blocking non paying buyers

The only block for non-paying bidders is those with 2 or more in X months (I have mine set to the strictest 12 month period).  Unfortunately not enough sellers are going through the unpaid item disputes.  It's imperitive to set those blocks and close out diputes to issue those buyers strikes.

Shuts non payers down in their tracks for countless sellers.

Thanks those who responded. I wish I could block those with 1 unpaid but I guess 2 is better than nothing

Re: Blocking non paying buyers

The only way to do it is to stop wasting your time on auctions for low-priced stuff.  Just put it out there at fixed price.  In fact, take off Or Best Offer with the really cheap stuff.  Then mark it all Immediate Payment Required (IPR).

Have you looked at your net profits recently?  I'm seeing a fixed price listing, $1.99 with Or Best Offer and free shipping.  You'd make a lot more profit to bundle up a ton of those old stamps and raise the price.  Coins: $1.30 with free shipping.  You're working for pennies.

I recommend making LOTS.  Set them up as fixed price IPR and let buyers pay the postage so you can buy tracking to protect yourself.  You'll save both time and money and you'll never have another NPB again.

Re: Blocking non paying buyers

Frankly a waste of your time. Ebay allows several operational ID's at a time, with a the ability to cancel and make new ones on a whim. Blocking one, just means a buyer moves onto another. Others like to make the point that this is circumventing a block, which would be true is ebay considered all ID's under the same person to be connected, but they don't, each ID is considered a separate identity. Blocking one doesn't prevent the others. Just use what is available, Paypal only. Automatic cancel after 4 days, let ebay send out the annoying messages and have them cancel the sale.
