Best way to save listings until next year?

I have unsold Christmas items (in unsold folder now).

I do not want to keep them up all year (what's the point?)

I do have a store.

what's the best way to keep them intact so I don't have to recreate everything next season?

is turbolister the only way?  (I have it but never use it)

@decadesgoneb4

Turbo is not bad, there is a bit of a learning curve.

We have no clue how long before ebay kills it.

There are 3rd party software, that seems to be what you need.

Price is not bad, and you can save to your computer, like TL

The point to keep them up all year is to make sales.  Almost the end of January and I had 2 Christmas sales today.  Had 3 yesterday.  You'd be surprised what people buy in July.  Plus, you don't have to store the listings until next season.

Copy and paste the details into a MS Word document and keep the photos in a file folder.  They will be long gone from Ebay by then. (90 days max).

I don't think the word document saves that much time since I have to relist and cut and paste and insert the pics again.

what about 'good until cancelled'?

if I get 250 free a month (which includes GTC), wouldn't that work?

Re: Best way to save listings until next year?

depends how many items you're talking about. Even with GTC you're still paying to relist them every 30 days. Also the longer they sit without selling the lower you drop in search.

If you already have Turbo it would be worth the effort to store them there.

OHHHHH.  didn't know you had to keep paying on GTC.

Rats.  guess I will have to get back up to speed on turbolister.

guess I know what I am doing tomorrow!

thanks for everyone's help.

As long as you have spare free listings available I'd keep them up. I've also sold quite a few Christmas and Halloween items this month.

Schedule them to start as far in advance as you can. When they get close to starting ( i think about 3 weeks) reschedule them out as far as you can by simply editing in bulk. I have done this for as long as 3 months and not sure if it will work for 9 or 10 but you can try.

Re: Best way to save listings until next year?

i believe you have 250 listings with your store subscription but only have 143 items listed as of this afternoon. If you are not using the 250 listings, you are losing money in my opinion. Use every one of those 250 and you won't be charged a listing fee until you hit 251. I also feel the more you have listed the more likely someone will find something in your store they like. Good luck.

My friend has sold several xmas items since Jan 1, as others have pointed out.

Maybe you can try cheaper prices to buy the products you need, in some websites like WWBUYING.

I store all my item descriptions written in html in notepad files on my computer.
