Like I said, I don't use best offer and when I make a listing I don't check that box. After a period of time, a day or 2 "Best offer" appears on some, but not all of my listings. I used the bulk edit to remove BO from ALL my listings and 2 hours later, BO is starting to pop-up on some (Not all) of my listings.
It's a pain, It's distracting, it's time consuming. Anybody offer a lifeline or solution to make this nonsense stop?
This is a new account I just started a couple weeks ago, I've been selling here for over 20 years and this does NOT happen on my other ebay accounts.

eBay does it, you can't stop it. Some have reported that you can "revise" your listing to get rid of it, but it will reappear shortly.
It used to be a function of listing with the mobile app, or quick listing tool, but that is no longer the case. eBay will add it to "help" newer sellers and those with prices their bot decides are too high compared to others.
Maybe when you are not such a "new" seller the practice will taper off.

I've heard of ebay checking the box when you're listing (hoping you will use the feature) but not checking the box after you're already listed. If that is happening to you, it has to be a glitch. There's no way ebay would purposely do that. If that is happening to you, i would contact ebay.
Good luck and stay safe!

The part that drives me crazy? More than usual?? I delete them an an hour later they start re-appearing.
Having a new account might be a clue. My older accounts don't have this issue.

Yes, like @ittybitnot stated, this “helpful” selling strategy will happen to new and low volume accounts. (It is not a glitch.) The work-around was to use the Advanced listing form, not the Quick form or the app. Good luck!

You can use eBay's mania for "Best Offers" to your advantage, whether you list with auction or BIN.
1> In the Selling Details section of the listing form click on the Best Offer click box
2> Just below that you will see two click boxes marked "Automatically accept offers of at least" and "Automatically decline offers lower than"
3> Click both these boxes and enter your lowest acceptable price in both
Now if a buyer makes a lowball offer, it gets automatically rejected and you will never get a notice or email. If the buyer makes an offer equal or higher than your lowest price, it will get accepted and the item will close the same way as if the buyer did a BIN. And you don't have to be bothered with all the back-and-forth offers and eBay can't sneak in a BO without your knowledge. You might even get lucky as has happened to me now and then and the BO will be above your lowest price. I list auctions only but it works fine for me. It still can't stop nagging emails from problematic buyers, but that's what your BBL is for.
