I have an item listed for $22.99. I have a pending best offer for $22 and in the comments section, the customer wrote "$8 shipping totaling $30." I checked the cost of shipping to the customer's zip code and it is a little more than $8, but the total of $30 is acceptable to me. Is there a way to accept this best offer? If I just accept it, the customer will be billed $22 + the shipping cost as calculated by the system (I think $9.09). How can I accept the offer, so the customer will only have to pay $30.
Thank you.

1) Accept the counteroffer, and put $1.09 in the package when you ship it (explain this to the customer when you accept the offer).
2) Accept the counteroffer, and send the customer $1.09 refund (explain this to the customer when you accept the offer).
3) Reject the offer, and instruct the customer to submit another offer for $20.91.
4) Accept the counteroffer, but tell your customer not to pay, then send them an invoice for the correct amount.

I would reject the offer, explain in note to potential buyer that shipping is not negotiable according to the best offer policy.
With $9 shipping, figured, I imagine this buyer is located near your zip code as your calculated shipping is showing $26+ for me. What if this buyer wants you to ship to a friend as a gift that lives 3000+ miles away. Would you be willing to ship further at your own expense?

That is all way too convoluted.
Just accept the counter offer and then send an invoice for the price agreed to, minus $1.09 plus shipping. And right before you accept the counter offer, send the buyer a message informing him that that is how you will handle it (just in case they are sitting at their computer waiting to pay as soon as the counter offer is accepted.)

Thank you. That is an excellent point that I wish I had thought of before I made my counteroffer of a price that would total $30 with the calculated shipping cost. Fortunately for me, the customer just wanted me to ship to their addresss. But, I will definitely remember your cautionary advice the next time I receive such an offer.

Thank you. I was not aware that I could make an adjustment on the invoice. That is good to know.
