Best offer Question

Happy Saturday all,

I got something I've never come across.  I have an item up for 5.99 or best offer.   I just got an offer for $7.00 with no buyers message.  I had one a while ago where the reason the amount was jigher was because that was what they wanted to pay with shipping, which was fine.  But this has no message and I don't want to accept because I don't want him to come back and say "please adjust to no shipping."  Because I would lose money due to he lives in CA and it is 1-2 pounds.  Suggestions?

@iwaroaddog

Why don't you just message him/her back and say you are willing to accept the offer of $7.00 for the item plus the applicable amount for shipping?

Re: Best offer Question

Buyer may **THINK** shipping will be included, but policy says B/Os are for the item price only. If shipping is additional to the $5.99 price, it would also be added to the $7.00 price.

OK kids, time to get the Dodge loaded up again. I hear 'Poppy's By the Tree' calling. This trip might be a long one too.

Re: Best offer Question

There seems to be a glitch in the Ebay "best offer" option. I have had two "best offers" and I am not able to respond them. I am taken directly to the summary page. I called ebay and the rep said many are having problems with the "Best Offer" options on the sellers end and are working to fix it.

Re: Best offer Question

Try responding by hovering over the offer, according to other boardies there is a magic button there that can take you to the buttons you really need. Let us know if it works.

You hover and then click.

There is currently a glitch with the best offer feature, eBay knows about the problem and is working on it.

Customer service says to click on the box to the left showing the user id making the offer. This will reload the page and the accept/counter/decline then appear beside it on the right.  Another ebay user reported that this worked for them.

If that does not work for you if you have a cell phone download the app.  The best offer feature works on android.  It probably works on Iphone too, but I do not have one to test it
